Q: I just have to ask- I thought this had zero plastics. So why do the tea strips come in a plastic slip bag? I was thrown off by this. Shouldn’t the bag it comes in protect them enough from any moisture?

  • A: Great question! That slip isn't for moisture, it's just there to keep the strips separated and organized. Since our strips are made with 100% natural ingredients (no anti-stick additives), they'd stick together or get disheveled without something to hold them in place. The parchment paper separates each strip, and the slip keeps everything neat during shipping and handling. Also, since it never touches heat or water, only the tea strip itself goes into your cup. There's no risk of microplastic exposure. It's purely for convenience, not protection from moisture.

    I know I should be excited about the lack of plastics, but for me it's really the convenience of being able to have these in my purse. I don't drink alcohol so it's nice to have a nice tasting healthy tea with me that doesn't require hot water - and that I can have anytime anywhere. Really a game changer.
