OUAI Fine Hair Shampoo - Ulta Beauty

Sadly I really like the way my husband's hair looked after he used this product but the smell is so bad I don't want him using it again. Why does it have to have so many scents? Wish there was an unscented version.

Honestly shocked with how awful this was for my hair. It dried it out and I had to switch after using it for less than 2 weeks.

I really don't understand all the hate for this product. My review is not incentivized for the record. I have only just started using the fine hair shampoo and conditioner but so far I really like it. It does have a rather strong fragrance but I find it citrus/ floral as described. It's not my favorite and it does linger but I don't find at offensive at all. I have fine, flat, dry, and mature bleached hair for reference. I wash it every other day and on day 2 it is usually pretty limp and flat because it is so fine. I have no scalp issues to speak of and my roots are usually not terribly oily on the days I don't wash my hair. I don't use a lot of styling products as I find they make my hair dirty faster and my lengths are too dry to shampoo every day. For me, my shampoo and conditioner are pretty much the stars of the show. In my opinion this duo leaves my hair feeling clean, soft, shiny and even slightly more bouncy. I have used many many high end products over the years and I find these are comparable. I do use a detangler and leave in conditioner with them, currently LolaVie as it's light. I avoid leave ins that add weight to my hair and these work for me. Everyone's hair is different as well as everyone's tolerance to fragrance. I like these products so far but I don't use any one product religiously. I usually rotate products between moisture, bond building and volumizing. Unlike many volume formulas, I love the way these make my hair feel. No frizz or dryness. Looks good; feels good!

Just kinda smells like powdery and florally, like a older womans perfume. Not a fan at all. Didn't notice anything especially good for the price.

just started useing it, I liked that it leaves a fragrance in my hair after it dries. It's a clean smell. I have used it maybe for four hair washing now can't say I've noticed my hair be bouncer I do intend to try their other products

I'm honestly surprised this shampoo doesn't have higher ratings. It's my current favorite shampoo to give my scalp a great cleanse and doesn't leave my hair tangled. Even though it isn't marketed as clarifying. I also love the smell, it's light and floral and not perfumey. So far I've found Ouai to be hit and miss with fragrance. I love the shampoos & mask but the leave in and frizz cream were so strong I didn't like smelling it on my hair. I have to note, one nice 3 star review complained the shampoo didn't give volume. I would just say the purpose of a fine shampoo is to cleanse without weighing down hair and to look to conditioners or styling products and drying techniques to help achieve volume. I have fine, thick long hair. My hair color is natural, silver entwined with brown.

A happy medium for the travel size if youre not able to shell out the money for the regular size. It leaves my hair so soft and bouncy and it smells absolutely amazing. Both my husband and I have been using it. Works great on our fine hair!

This is a good shampoo for my wavy, semi gray hair. The only issue I have is the scent. There is no reason a shampoo needs to be so heavily scented. I will continue to use it but not sure I will buy again.

The sent for this shampoo was very strong and it did not let up. I’ve washed my have 3 times and it still smells like rose. Now if you like that then you probably wouldn’t have a problem with this shampoo. It lathers fine and I do feel like it cleaned my hair. But the smell was too much. I will say I do prefer there detox shampoo.

I liked this shampoo for 2 or 3 washes and then my hair became super super dry. I have thin, fine, straight hair and was hoping this would be a good option. I even tried using the leave-in conditioner and hair oil and they did not help. Im trying to use it up by using this as a first wash and redken as a second wash to not make my hair so dry.

I wanted to love it but the smell is just way too much. It isn't a bad smell just very strong. My hair felt amazing after using it though.

I think they changed something in this shampoo because I used to use this like two years ago and it never made my hair fall out or feel really oily and dry and I think it is causing my hair to thin out as well. I ended up buying the travel size just because like it’s so expensive that’s all I can afford And honestly I’m gonna throw it away because it’s making my hair feel so dull and oily and I don’t like it please don’t buy this product.

I have oily, fine and flat hair. I bought this hoping it would be worth the hype. Alas, I was disappointed. This provided no volume, tamed no frizz and stripped my salon color almost completely in one wash. Also, I have to wash my hair every day with this in order for my hair to not look greasy. The only good thing about this product is the smell, as it lasts over 24hrs.

It's hard for me to find a product that smells good & makes my hair soft & shiny! I will purchase it again!

this really just does the bare minimum. smells good, cleans your hair okay enough, though I did have to double shampoo if I had dry shampoo on my scalp as it takes some work to get it to lather. as someone with fine hair, I didn't find this especially suited to it, especially since I have an oily scalp and need something that isn't so lightweight that it won't cut through the grease. hard pass on this, especially considering the price; I get a better clean from drugstore.
