Q: I don't understand why the manufacturer of this product would add hydrogenated oil to what would otherwise be a healthy product. The body can't break down hydrogenated oil and it can accumulate in the arteries.

  • A: Hello, there are different types of hydrogenated oil: “Partially hydrogenated” and “Fully hydrogenated. In our formulations, we only use “fully hydrogenated” coconut oil. Fully hydrogenated oils contain very low levels of trans fat and do not have the same health risks that are associated with “partially hydrogenated” oil, which can contain high levels of trans fat. The hydrogenated coconut oil is used to help keep the texture soft and easy to chew.

    Love these, but why is it so hard to find caramel flavor?

    My doctor recommended that I take some calcium supplements. I have osteopenia and have been able to stay stable. However, I do take a strong Vitamin D every other week. I really don’t want osteoporosis! The only thing that would make it better would be if you could get this in caramel flavor. That flavor is hard to find. Chew them really well as it says in the directions.

    Shipping Issue needs to be resolved

    Spills Out During Shipment

    Upon arrival of this shipment, the lid was off of the container and the seal was broken. EVERY soft chew had spilled out of the container into the shipping box. The One Star rating is due to this item completely spilling out during shipment. If you choose to buy Viactiv Soft Chews, buy/pick up this product at the store to avoid this issue. This product is clearly not packaged well enough to be delivered intact when shipped.

    very sweet

    these chews came today, I needed to boost my calcium because I'm recovering from a stem cell transplant. I'm trying to heal and get stronger, so I'm replenishing my calcium. and giving my body a boost, these taste very sweet yet it says it has half the sugar. must drink water with this. very sweet.

    Received and package was crushed?

    I love this product. I used the order and ship method because I was down to one serving. When I received my package it was all bent up and looked like it busted partially open. Kind of like it was crunched against other boxes. Two out of the three Containers inside had opened and product was spilling out. Thankfully none of the chews looked opened. I don't know if someone has a distaste for Target and what is currently going on but handling a package in this manner is unacceptable. Very disappointed. I will think twice about using the shipping method.

    Bloated. Corn syrup and sugar as ingredients

    They make you feel bad and extremely bloated. After 2 weeks of feeling like having a ballon in my stomach. I find out that this was making me feel that way. No wonder why, first ingredients: Corn syrup and sugar. Never again, I am going to return them.
