Great add on gift for toddler :)

Would have liked more story lines. Too basic for what I wanted.

I got this book for part of a 1st birthday gift. It is a cute book. I would get it again for a baby/toddler birthday gift.

Great, familiar story. My LO requests it over and over. Larger than most board books.

I bought this for my daughter for her 1st birthday, along with the If You Take A Mouse To The Movies. Her birthday is Christmas, but we wanted her to have something to "open" at her little party on Christmas Eve. We have a tradition of getting a special book every birthday for our children. I love that it is a board book which makes it durable for the little ones. As with many reviews I've seen online about it being short and a waste of money, I do wish it had more of a "story" as well (it's 10 "pages" with about only 4 words on each-mouse deciding what he wants for breakfast on his birthday, all sweets); but it IS a board book gearing towards the tiniest of people, so it's meant to be short for their attention span and be durable. Overall, I think it's adorable and my daughter loves grabbing her plush mouse from the books and flipping through this book with him. Our two year old son even likes it, so we'll read it together as well. A new favorite in our household, and it would make a great gift for a baby shower or a little ones birthday.

We love the If You Give... series so my daughter was very excited to get this one on her birthday. It's a durable board book that is small enough to go anywhere. The story is very sweet and incorporates characters and themes from the whole series. It is a great value.
