So Far So Good
We've just used this DVD player once so I don't know much about it. What I do know is that it was very easy to setup and play a dvd. The remote is like most remotes and it came with batteries. There's a page in the reference guide that explains what the remote buttons do. I've never had a problem with any Sony products and I expect this player to follow suit.

Confusion sets herein...
Confusion is this: Why call it Region-Free", when it is NOT? We cannot get remote "Volume" keys to operate up or down - like the button itself is "Mute". We registed the thing,as we have used it and did not want to wrong Target by returning it as "used item", but the "manual" along with its instructions are of poor quality. Cannot recommend purchase to an unawares party. What to do... ? Surprised & disappointed @ Sony.

Horrible DVD Player
This DVD is Horrible, it does not play all CDs or dvds. It is region specific. If I would have known this I would’ve never bought it. I bought the Mission Impossible DVD Collection and it won’t play it on this stupid player because the DVD is region specific. I’m gonna try to return it.

Great product at a great price!
I needed to replace a Sony CD Changer that finally gave out after having it for many years, many years. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on another CD Changer so I went with this player. Granted it doesn’t have all the features my changer did but it does what I need it to do and that’s okay my beloved CDs.

Worked just long enough to outlive the return window
The DVD player was eh quality, but it actually worked at first. Until just after the return window expired, and then suddenly it just won't turn on. It wasn't unplugged or jarred or anything, it just quit working. Frustrating and disappointing, especially since everything is expensive these days. Definitely won't be getting another Sony DVD player in the future.

Works OK
Because my TV is Roku Smart TV 32S327-CA, all picture-settings and volume-control can be done only from TV's remote control. DVD 's remote control can load disk, play it, advance, rewind, eject, but cannot siwitch on/off tv and cannot control volume. TV inputs and Menu are also not functional on DVD-remote. I use my own HDMI cable, not provided with DVD player (only RCA cables were included in the package)
