Caused more thinning, regular amla oil is better.
First off I would like to say that this smells phenomenal and it’s not heavy or greasy however…this caused my hair to thin out more than it previously was. I ran out of amla oil which actually did help fill in my thinning hair and helped my hair grow and decided to buy this instead since the first ingredient is amla fruit extract. I’m not sure if maybe the ingredients are too potent or it’s just too many ingredients in general but I can visibly see my scalp more, meaning my hair is more sparse, since using this product. I did love the smell but I’ll go back to using regular amla oil since that has actually been able to work for me in the past. I have typically a dry scalp,medium porosity, 3C curls if that helps.

I actually really like this oil it does leave my scalp oiled for about 3/4 days it’s very light weight an it smells really well it is a little expensive but it also grew my edges back from having a baby an going through postpartum I would recommend this oil every time my only regret is that when I saw my mom using it years ago I wish I had started using it sooner it keeps my scalp hydrated an moisturized it leaves my part an my scalp looking squeaky clean an my roots actually look healthy for a change

Finally growth and retention
This product came in clutch. My hair was thinning and growth was stunted, most likely from braids and lack of proper maintenance for my particular hair texture/type. Along with a few changes, this oil really helped my hair and it’s finally back full and growing. Very little breakage and maximum length retention. I do not over use the product on my scalp because it is strong in my opinion but, I do apply to my ends more frequently. Only experience normal hair fall.

New formula is no good :(
Like many others, I loved the original product. It doesn’t do much for hair loss on its own (use rosemary or minoxidil for that) but it did help strengthen the new hair and seemed to encourage faster growth. The new version does not seem to have this effect anymore. Could still be good as a general oil treatment but it’s nothing special now.

The best oil out
I am addicted to this stuff. I've bought 6+ bottles now and I am the kind of person who never rebuys the same hair products as I like to try new and usually find better. This is still the best I've found. I hope they never change anything about it. It's absolutely perfect perfect perfect.
