Q: Can this remove red dye? The reds on the target bag stained some of my clothing. I have tried OxiClean, Baking Soda with Vinegar but have not been successfully in removing the dye.

I've tried pretty much every stain remover on the market but have never found anything this good. I had a washable jacket with old stains that I'd tried to get out before. That meant it had been washed AND dried. I really didn't expect the old, set-in stains to come out but I sprayed the Dreft on, rubbed in and let it sit for about 30 minutes. All the old stains are gone!!! I highly recommend this.

Okay most of the time, but have issues with the nozzles
This works well for minor stains. However, some things, especially orange food stains, need more than one wash to come out. A few times we’ve had to use the Shout that we use on our clothes on our daughter’s clothes to get them fully stain free. My biggest complaint though is that we’ve had two bottles of this and both bottles have stopped spraying well when there is about a quarter of the bottle left. It’s like the nozzle breaks or can no longer get liquid in it very well. We decided to try something else because it feels like we waste spray.

Leaky Bottle
Spray bottle leaks every time I pull down the lever. Been having to spray clothes over the sink, and it still drips down my hand. Otherwise, works well!

If it works why change?
The old dreft stain remover in the white bottle before they went plant based got more stains out and worked better. I have both bottles and compared them. I prefer the old dreft stain removal over the newer version.

It does not have a good smell and is not powerful enough to get out stains. Multiple friends have had similar experiences with this product.

This is not it....
I was using Mistys stain remover and it worked pretty well but the smell was strong and it had discolored one of my baby's shirts. I am always wanting to use clean products so I figured I'd give this a try. It does not work well. I've tried it on several things and I either have to wash things more than once or end up using Borax just to get it out.

Advertising states this is specifically for children's clothes, however it DOES contain fragrances. My pediatrician recommended to avoid Dreft products for this reason.
