  • A: It would be more accurate to give the size in inches rather than give the size by age 4 to 8 years old, as an eight year old could have a head measurement of 21.5 inches which is a Small Adult size.

    Did Not Hold Up

    We had this helmet for almost 1 years exactly when it started to fall apart. Not a reassuring thing for a piece of personal protective equipment. The plastic visor piece broke off and the other plastics portions broke as well. Regular use, no accidents just being tossed into the garage occasionally.

    I was unsure about this helmet because it is labeled 5-8 year olds with no head measurements listed. My 3.5 year old has a slightly bigger head and it fit perfectly! I love Schwinn brand items so this was a great purchase. Stays snug and secure on his head just like it needs to.

    Our favorite helmet!💜

    Bought the child size 5-8 for my 6 year old Daughter and it fits perfectly. There is a way to adjust the tightness in the back. There is also a little sun visor in the front which doubles as extra protection. My daughter flipped on her scooter and this saved her face from getting any scratches! So great I bought a second one for my older daughter!

    Finally one that fits right!

    This is the fourth helmet I tried on my almost-five-year-old who outgrew his smaller helmet. Despite measuring his head size, every helmet we ordered wouldn’t sit tight on his head - they would all wobble around. But this one works great!

    Adjustable Diameter

    This was the only helmet I could find in the store that was adjustable- all of the other kids helmets were just one size and didn’t provide a proper/snug fit. Plus the colors are awesome.
