Q: Can this car seat be strapped safely into car without a base for taxis? Also what's the difference between this and the mini plus bravo version?

A: Alex, yes the Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat Carrier can be safely installed without the base using the vehicle seat belt. Please refer to pp 50 - 59 of the instruction manual for further details. When traveling by airplane with your child, Chicco recommends taking the Carrier on the airplane with you so that you can use it with your child. Not only will it protect your child during take-off, landing, and turbulence, but also allow your child to be more comfortable. See page 80 of the instruction manual for further details. The differences between the Mini Bravo and the Mini Bravo Plus mainly concern the infant car seat that ships with the system (Mini Bravo gets the KeyFit, Mini Bravo Plus gets the KeyFit 30), the Plus gets a child tray, and the fabric styles are upgraded on the Plus.

A: The Newborn positioner/body insert must be removed once the child weighs more than 11 lbs. The head insert must be installed one slot above the harness straps. Once you move the harness straps to the upper most slots, you must discontinue using the head insert.

I would rate it 5 starts because we love the mini bravo travel system but after only a couple Of months the rubber on the car seat handle in the middle is Falling a part witch is very disappointing. Wish I could attach a picture to see if anyone is having the same issue.

I wanted to like this stroller so bad, but after only 10 months of use it is literally the worst! Seriously don’t do it. I can barely go over an bump, and even though the size is so nice and easy to tote around, it turns horribly and the wheels are starting to bend weird. They get stuck and jerk. Not to mention you can tell how loose the whole system is getting. It’s a bummer because I would love to save it for my next baby but it’s just a pain. I will say, I love the car seat but at the price it should have been a better stroller. Very disappointed 😔.

Can't buy a tray for kid, not much padding around baby so if he fell asleep he would lean against hard plastic. But my biggest complaint is the cat seat only goes up to 22lbs. We had a chunky baby who hit 20lbs by 6 months and we had to rush to get additional car seats and spend more money. Save time and money and get a travel combo that goes up to 35 pounds! Lastly the fabric all over is pilled and look dull after 8 months of use. I thought by paying more we would get quality but I was wrong.

Durable. I have have this for 2 years. My son turns 2 in a few days, his sibling is 6-8 weeks away. Still in a good condition. I’ve had no complaints. But, my son is much older so he has outgrown the weight and height. I just need to figure out how to wash the fabric as a newborn will take over this system soon.

Looked at many different options and decided to go with this one being the size was lightweight/compact, and we liked the style. Also reasonable for the price compared to other strollers on the market at the moment. I’d also heard good things about this brand after using Graco for my first two babies. We took this stroller on a trip to Mexico where most roads are rock terrains. We were there for less than a week and used it a Handful of times and we noticed the front wheel started getting jammed. The issue persisted after cleaning it out and trying to make some adjustments. We also noticed the color faded significantly after leaving it out on our porch for a couple days in the sun. The sun was directly on it for a good part of the day but it faded pretty significantly after only two days which tells me the material isn’t as durable as we anticipated. Our baby is 15 months old and I didn’t think we’d need to purchase another stroller until he was at least two and grew out of it. Overall it did its job for the first year or so. It’s still pretty compact overall which was my initial thought when buying this item, but not durable enough for my liking.

I love that this stroller is easy to fold but there's no cup holder or snack tray for kiddo. Chicco does not have one to purchase for this model.

I didn’t purchase additional warranty because I heard chicco is durable which was my mistake, only lasted me a year and one of the wheels broke off, it was convenient being able to just take my baby on the car seat and place the car seat on the stroller though, only used a few times which is why I’m disappointed It broke so fast

I love how light weight the stroller and car seat are. Very easy to store it away carry in/out of the car. Minor issue: cup holder doesn’t fit a regular to-go mug- it fits a normal Starbucks/caribou cup or a can.

FTM! As with many big ticket items, it’s stressful looking around for the right thing to buy for your baby. I just finished putting this together and was very pleased with the easy assembly. The material is a great quality too. The car seat is soft and comfortable. The simplicity of folding down the stroller and moving the car seat from stroller to car is unbeatable. I highly recommend! I am very pleased with this purchase!

The stroller is very convenient and easy to use. Doesn’t take a lot of work to unfold and fold. I’ve only used it with the car seat, I wonder how it will work for a toddler.
As for the car seat, my 2 month old hates it! He cries soo bad in it. I think it may be uncomfortable for him. The car seat makes it difficult for him to fully cry. When I take him out, he cries completely normal.

Easy to assemble stroller and installing base. Carseat is very nice and secure for my baby boy. I love how simple it is to transfer the carseat onto the stroller within seconds. Plus it fits perfectly in the trunk of our car! Spacious compartment to place our diaper back under stroller and maybe a shopping bag or two. Best travel system yet! I would buy again!

I purchased Chicco Mini Bravo Sport travel system recently for my first child after doing lot of research as my child born a preemie and i was really confused which one i should buy. Chicco exceeds my expectations and amused me with its easy to use features. Product is super easy to install with minimum effort and Keyfit car seat is perfect for my child. Each and every part is designed so well that they fit perfectly and gives premium appearance with great comfort to my Baby. Front and rear wheels fits easily with minimum effort and canopy were easy to install, thanks to Chicco for the manual book which gives step by step instructions. Both Stroller and Car seat have their own manual book. It is a great compact travel system which is lightweight and easy to carry. Only thing which i miss is the snack tray, that would been icing on the cake.

Just received our travel system a week ago and we love it! Really easy to transition the car seat from the base to the stroller. When we first received the system, there was some assembly required on the stroller and the manual didn’t give a lot of detail for this, but we managed to figure it out. The only room for improvement is the shade visor on the car seat / carrier. It’s very flimsy and makes it a little more difficult to expand and retract. But the visor on the stroller is great. The stroller is super easy to fold up and collapse, and the maneuverability is fantastic. Would definitely recommend this system to others!!

Simple to install and light weight to carry. I did research for almost 3 months before deciding to get this travel system and boy I don't regret my decision at all. The travel system is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I'm happy that it got delivered on time and my husband had no issues putting it in our car.
I'm a 1st time mother and I was scared reading reviews online from people about products. I'm glad that I landed on the right product for my baby. My husband was shocked looking at the price but now he's happy with the purchase and says that being 1st time parents all we could expect is having an easy transition and this product is one of those which came in without any hassle. My baby isn't here yet but so far I love the travel system. I'm a little over 5'7 and the stroller is a great height. It was simple to put together and the color is the same as picture. Once my baby gets here I will update with more info.
