Amazing
I’m not sure how there are negative reviews for this book. It is a slow burn, twist and turn rollercoaster. You don’t know what you think you know with this book. A page turner to the very end. If you like Joe Goldberg, take a chance on this novel.

I felt like the book was a bit boring. It wasn’t boring enough to quit reading it, but it definitely did not draw me in. It felt like it was trying to hard to be an obvious plot line.

great mystery
not sure why this has such negative reviews. i agree the plot unravels itself a little slower, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. i think the twists and turns, the revelations of people’s true characters are fascinating, and hit his is another amazing novel from Jewell!

how is this a popular book?!
just finished this book and it is horrible . I dont get how it ever got more than 1 star. nothing at all happens in the first 300 pages and the conclusion is not even a shocking event. the characters are not realistic or relatable and some of the story lines dont really make sense. definitely wish I would of returned it and regret taking the time to read it .

Good read
I read Invisible Girl by Lisa Jewell and absolutely loved it so I figured I’d read some more of her work. It could be just me, but I ended up with a certain unsatisfied feeling. Don’t get me wrong, the ending was unexpected but from the beginning I feel the reader is being led on to believe there’s something off about the male character then everything turns out in his favor. Overall, I’d recommend the book. I like suspense novel and I’d suggest people give it a shot.

I read The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell, and didn’t particularly enjoy it, but thought I would giver her another shot. I didn’t enjoy this book either. Could be personal preference, but I felt like the story dragged a bit. I also felt like there wasn’t a clear narrator, or character to follow. It would have been fine if it was clearly laid out in the beginning as multiple perspectives, but it feels like you start out rooting for one character, and that character becomes less and less important. Or maybe I personally don’t enjoy the author. I’d recommend giving it a shot! Everyone’s tastes are different.
