CETAPHIL Sheer Mineral Sunscreen Stick is a lightweight, 100% mineral UVA/UVB filter sunscreen designed for daily use on the face and body. Broad spectrum SPF 50 reflects both UVA and UVB rays to help prevent sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer and early signs of aging due to sun exposure. The sheer formula was developed with sheer zinc to blend quickly into the skin, and the nongreasy formula won't clog pores. This convenient, mess free formula makes it an ideal choice to protect delicate areas like the lips, earlobes, nose and around the eyes, and is gentle enough for the whole family. Formulated with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to maximize sun protection and soothing vitamin E to comfort the skin, this sheer sunscreen locks in lasting hydration to help prevent against the drying effects of the sun. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating. Immediately after towel drying. At least every 2 hours. Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.

Opened a new package of Cetaphil sunscreen stick and applied a liberal amount on child before he played soccer at 11am on a clear sunny day. Two hours of sun later, his cheeks were noticeably red. He has a darker skin complexion and usually does not turn red with sunscreen. In the evening, his cheeks were still red from sunburn (vs allergic reaction). We've tried other brands of stick sunscreens (Aveeno baby, Blue Lizard, Cerave) that worked just fine. This one did not seem to provide any sun protection. My suggestion to others who are looking for a stick sunscreen is to avoid this product.

Weight is light and caused no burn and a very nice feel with no stain. Portability and breakouts were rare but I think it could’ve blended better .

2022-2023 zinc formulation was better than this 2026 titanium-zinc stinky mess.

2022-2023 formulation used to be all zinc content, no titanium. That old version stick application would glide on easily; pleasant citrus smell; did not block pores or cause breakouts next day. There was some white cast but knowing zinc provided best protection with safest ingredients was worth it. The new 2024-2026 recipe has a rancid waxy smell, crumbly, hard to apply, makes me break out, never buying again. Bring back the all-zinc version please. The titanium one is rubbish

It's applied after washing your face, and in addition to protecting you from the sun, it also moisturizes. It leaves no residue, its protection is very good, and it protects very well from the sun.

Great for on the go!

I love this product. I am a pretty big sunscreen user and this has made my life a lot easier. I can throw it in my bag when I go hiking, paddle boarding, or running. I have pretty sensitive skin and I’ve had no issue with this product.

Crumbly mess!

I wanted to like this so much but it’s true you get what you paid for in this case. My first application resulted in the stick crumbling all over the place and was sooo difficult to clean up. It’s not the smooth gliding over skin stick I have hoped it would be. I don’t be recommending this to friends and won’t be repurchasing.

Perfect for summer and everyday

I have purchase this twice already. It protects my skin during the summer. I had to repurchase even tho I have tons of face sunscreens. Some ingredients aren’t good especially if you are trying to conceive so I had to go back to this one. Zinc oxide is safe for expectant mothers so I had to go back to this one. Only thing tho it’s a bit oily and leaves a bit of a white cast. Other than that I really enjoy it.
