A: We love color. The great news for you is that all our bars are 100% color safe. Our formulas are free of sulfates, which are one of the big culprits on color-stripping. So go ahead and pick whichever bar most suits your underlying hair type.

Q: I've never seen a solid conditioner before. How does this work?

A: Hi. Yes, it's a pretty new concept, but very simple. Liquid conditioners are at least 80% water. That's why they need plastic packaging. We found a way to formulate salon-quality conditioner ingredients without the water. To use, simply get your hair really wet, take that conditioner bar and run it though your hair, paying special attention to where your hair gets driest, ie your middles and ends. You'll feel a slight slip between your fingertips and hair. That's when you know your hair has a nice coating of conditioner.Let it sit for a couple of minutes then rinse. That's it!

A: It does! We went with a simple, fresh citrusy scent derived from a blend of lime peel, orange peel, lemon peel, grapefruit peel, and ginger root. The fragrance is strongest when the bar first comes out of the pack, but dissipates quickly. Hopefully that smells good to you!

This is a pretty weak conditioner (for my hair type?) - my hair does feel softer but only marginally so compared to other conditioners I've tried. But in addition to that, the smell is really odd. It's not strong enough to bother me once it's in my hair, but the smell of the bar itself is like mint + fish.

I love the idea of getting 16oz of conditioner, by itself - no container to throw away after. It has taken a few times to get used to how much to rub in my hair, but I'm finding that a little goes a long way - so this product seems to be priced well. My hair feels soft and clean after using it. I also love that this product has no parabens and is color safe. I'll be curious to implement HiBar's shampoo too.

At first glance, I wasn’t too fond of this bar. When you first open the box, the smell is very strong and unpleasant. I decided to use it anyway and I was pleasantly surprised. It actually smells really good on the hair and the smell last for days. I wash my hair every other day and I can still smell the scent pretty well before my next wash. The conditioner also makes my hair feel pretty soft afterwards. The only con, is that it takes a while to work at through your hair. The box has instructions which instruct you to use the slanted tip of the bar and essentially rub it on your hair. My hair is 32 inches long and it took FOREVER to cover my hair with this bar. I had to section off my hair and do it by pieces to make sure I had full coverage. That being said, it was worth it. My hair felt nice and soft afterward. Didn’t help with my frizz but it doesn’t claim to so that’s fine. I liked the conditioner bar and I will continue to use it but just be cautious of the amount of time it will take you when you wash your hair, especially if you’re in a rush.

First off, this conditioner is so cute and takes up hardly any space which a great since I have no storage space. It’s easy to use and it doesn’t take a lot to be effective so it lasts a while. My hair was super soft after using it too.

I hate single use plastic. At this point we all know where it ends up: the ocean! I am really excited to see more and more brands coming up with creative solutions to the plastic packaging problem. Also this stuff makes my chemically processed hair shiny and smooth. There is no reason to use regular conditioner ever again!
