Ignore the one stars, they can't cook. This is so good.
I could not believe the amount of negative reviews here, it's unbelievable how many people are seemingly incapable of heating this up on a pan, how are you people messing this up? it's two ingredients??? I get Kevin's chicken very often, because I primarily eat by myself and I am a slim guy going to the gym and trying to maintain my weight and have clean protein wherever I can. A lot of food is crap and over processed, this isn't. Out of the flavors offered at Target, I HIGHLY recommend the Korean BBQ over the others. Cilantro lime is fine, and garlic is better, but the Korean BBQ is leagues ahead of both of them, it's my go-to dinner and super convenient imo. If you get this, you must follow the instructions and also be a little creative to get the most out of it. I highly recommend grabbing a stir fry vegetable mix (in the frozen aisle, it's like $2 and lasts you several Kevin's chicken packs), throwing it in the pan with some olive oil, and serving on top of rice. Use different combos for the cilantro + garlic flavors though, I'm solely referring to my process for the korean bbq flavor. As long as you break up the chicken in the packet (like the back of it says to do!) and drain the broth before putting it on the pan, you're not going to have ANY problems. Set it to a medium low heat and let it get hot with some veggies over the course of 5-10 mins, then once you see golden marks on the chicken, set it to low and simmer the sauce for 3-5 mins. The key is to let the sauce get warm and thicken up, otherwise it can be watery, which I admit is not the best, but that was my fault. I would never ever consider cooking this in a microwave and honestly it'd be hard to convince me to eat this without rice or veggies, that's kinda the point lol. This is a great starter and you gotta add in a bit more to your liking and preferences. That being said, it's not difficult and incredibly easy to do so, I have no idea how this is difficult for anyone else, I suck at cooking and this is perfectly manageable. I can whip up a full meal with a salad etc. in like 15/20 mins, the one-stars are outing themselves, do not let them cook for you because apparently they cannot handle a stovetop. Maybe mac n cheese is more their speed. As an individual male, I find the amount of chicken to be more than enough, but I agree with some reviewers that sharing with more than 2 people is a bit unrealistic. I can also understand that ~$10 is a bit much for a lot of people, but in my eyes, fast food is $15 or so, and this has purely clean ingredients. I give it a pass because of the ingredients and bc it's fun to make. I am personally a bit too lazy to cut up my own chicken so this is a godsend and has made cleaner eating much more manageable. Depending on your level of activity, this could satiate you for anywhere from 2 hours to 9 hours. It's a really solid dinner that I've relied on. I also have a sensitive stomach and this is the ONE tasty thing I can have that doesn't make me feel horrible at night after eating it. I cannot thank Kevin enough man, he's the goat Seriously if you're considering this and you're reading all the negative reviews, please disregard them and get the korean one. Everyone I've made to try this (cooked properly) have absolutely loved it, you will not regret giving this a shot. It makes me sad to think about all the wasted chicken here :[, get it together people

Pressed chicken
Not appetizing at all! I had never tried this brand before. It was the taste and smell of some school lunch meal from my childhood. A blob of pressed together chicken and a packet of sauce. Maybe if it has vegetables and rice it would have been edible. Wrong choice for our in hotel room dinner.

Meh
It was just okay. The chicken was mostly good but some pieces had questionable texture. You also don’t get a lot of chicken and it’s not enough for more than two people. I do, however, love the sauce. I really wish he sold it separately. Overall, I’d rather just prep a chicken breast and cook it myself next time.

Very good sous vide chicken breast!
While this is advertised as a 16 oz. item the actual chicken breast weighed in just shy of 9 oz. The chicken breast is very tender and perfect for adding to salad or wraps. I only used a very small portion of the cilantro sauce as I was not sure I would like it. It’s good! I’m thinking I’ll use some of it as a dressing on my salad topped with the chicken. Would give the chicken a five star rating had the package contained closer to the 16 oz. as advertised. Love the convenience and it was great served cold.

HALLELUJAH for those who often "ick"
I don’t understand all of the terrible reviews. This is the BEST pre prepared chicken for those who often get the ick from chicken and other meats. I would also say it is sometimes better than chicken prepared at home or even at some restaurants. It is tender, with no gristle or fat pieces EVER. The flavor is perfect to pair with fried rice or eat on its own with some steamed rice and veggies. The price point makes sense for the convenience and quality. This amount is perfectly 3 servings when paired with something like mentioned above. You can’t go wrong with Kevin’s.

Good food, bad price.
Chicken was good, and the sauce was amazing. But there was barely 8oz of chicken in there. Claims to be 1lb. I wouldn’t buy this if you were eating for more than just yourself. Not with $11, save the cash and buy something else.

Needs a boost but good after it.
I agree this was a little bland and not a lot of chicken - however I added some white wine and juice from one lemon while sautéing the chicken - which was moist and very nice white meat - and then served over rice so it was enough for me and my daughter and we both loved it. Would buy again but definitely needs a little boost.

Ease of preparation
Easy and quick to prepare. I added Sweet peppers, onion and garlic powder, otherwise it would be rather bland. Served it over rice. Enough for at least 2 meals.

Gross
As soon as I opened the package I knew it was going to be bad. The chicken comes in a plastic material with some sort of chicken fluid. The chicken is slimy with no texture. I bought it to meal prep but regret my decision. The flavor is also not there.

Save your time, money, and taste buds
Nothing about this is Korean or even Korean inspired. It's just another product using buzzwords. Sad boring chunks of sous vide chicken with a thin and bland generic "Asian inspired" sauce. It's barely good and definitely not worth any price point it's ever sold at. If you're into grocery store asian inspired food buy your usual brands and skip this.

Quick & clean meals. Plz keep Kevin's in stock!
Needed a low-prep meal option for a medium-sized luncheon. Bought this x2 pairing it with Kevin's Cilantro Lime Rice, fajitas, bell peppers & Mexican Street Corn casserole. Big hit & I was happy w/low prep & clean ingredients. Hope Target expands their Kevin's line to sell them all! Delicious!
