Q: Do the nipples fit the Avent glass bottle screw on part or do I need to use the evenflo nipple screw on ring too for compatibility?
A: The Phillips Avent collars will work to use these nipples with Phillips Avent glass bottles. No need to buy Evenflo collars, they do not even fit the bottles.
submitted byNikki - 11 months agoA: Hi Amanda, we have not tested compatibility with other brands. Keep in mind that even if a nipple does fit a different brand of cap ring and bottle, it might change the flow rate as pieces are engineered to work specifically with their own brand. Thanks!

Q: What month do you switch to level 2?
A: Medium flow is generally from 3-6 months, however if the baby is under 3 months of age and the slow flow nipple is collapsing then you would want to look into the next flow size up.
submitted byEvenflo_ParentLink - 6 years agoBrand expertA: Generally the medium flow nipples are used from 3-6 months.

Q: So wait. There’s a Slow Flow (1 drop), a Medium Flow (2 drops), and a XFast (4 drops)? But there’s no Fast flow (3 drops)???? You have to go right from Medium to XFast? My child is refusing the medium now, but the XFast is WAY too fast.
A: Hi BRap, there are only 3 flows of nipples--slow, medium and fast. The "X" doesn't stand for extra fast. Rather, it stands for X-cut which is a type of nipple hole style. Our consumer care team would be happy to discuss this further with you if you'd like to reach out to support@evenflofeeding and mention CS-11864. Thanks!

Q: The small nipples are not collapsing but the medium nipples are. Baby is 6 months. Why is this happening?
A: Hi Olga, it is necessary to squeeze the nipple vent at feeding time. See the process here: https://www.evenflofeeding.com/blogs/bottles/how-to-squeeze-the-nipple-vent. Also, by 6 months some babies are ready for a faster flow. See if squeezing the vent fixes the problem. And please plan to try a fast flow nipple as well. Thanks!

Q: i have the medium “number 3” with 2 “droplets” nipples what age is that intended for ? target says 6months & up but i’m getting mixed reviews and just want to verify
A: Hi Maria, to locate flow rate on our bottle nipples, please look for the following: S and 1 droplet are slow flow. M and 2 droplets are medium flow. X and 4 droplets are fast flow. The number you are referring to does not pertain to flow rate. As for age, every baby is different. By 3 months, many babies are ready for medium flow. Here is a guide to help you decide which flow is best for your baby: https://www.evenflofeeding.com/blogs/bottles/when-to-move-to-the-next-flow-of-nipple. Thanks!

Q: How often these nipples should be replaced?
A: Hi Alena, Great question! it is recommended to inspect your bottles parts prior to each feed, discontinue use if any tear or crack appears, and routinely replace every 1-2 months. Thanks!

Q: How many months should fast flow be used?
A: Hi, it is recommended to inspect your bottles parts prior to each feed, discontinue use if any tear or crack appears, and routinely replace every 1-2 months. The fast flow is often used until the cup is introduced, and then discontinued usually sometime after 12-18 months. Thanks!

Q: Are these nipples the x-cut nipples? I need a fast flow but not an x-cut.
A: Hi Olivia, our Balance + wide nipples come in three flow rates: slow, medium, and fast/x-cut. At this time we do not have a fast flow that is not x-cut. We will pass this request along to marketing and engineering. Thanks!

Q: Which ones are considered level 4? I have to add oatmeal baby cereal to my babies formula & my doctor said level 4. Is level 4 medium flow or fast flow?
A: Hi VanillaBooLatte, our fast flow nipples are x-cut. This will hopefully accommodate the thicker texture for your little one. Thanks!
