Enjoy hands-on fun with the FAO Schwarz Pottery Wheel Studio. Use the spinning wheel to explore your creativity and create containers, cups, creatures, and anything else you can imagine. Switch between left-handed and right-handed modes to ensure any user is comfortable when operating the pottery wheel. Once you’re done shaping the clay on the wheel, use the included tools and paints to model and decorate your creation. Don’t let a cluttered workstation prevent you from expressing yourself. A: as a professional potter, toy wheels never have enough weight or torque to actually work properly. better to use the $50 for a one time class with a real pottery wheel, it will be more fun

A: Yes, the spinning platform on the pottery wheel can be lifted off for cleaning. While detailed cleaning instructions are included in the manual, we recommend wiping the platform with a damp sponge or cloth. Also, do not submerge the pottery wheel in water when cleaning. Thank you

A: Yes, the paint will come off with soap and water. Clay can easily be removed from the hands and any residue can be washed off with soap and water. Thank you

Fun, enjoyable activity for kids ages 5 and up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy pottery Wheel set is great for kids 5 and up, especially for those who are into clay or play dough modeling. My 6 year old was very exited to try the clay wheel. It does take some practice to make a clay pot, but the process is fun. It is also good for fine motor skill development. And honesty, it is just a fun activity to do with your kid. We enjoyed spending time over clay modeling.

Good for kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cute little pottery wheel for kids. The motor seems to be a little bit weak as you have to use very light pressure which makes it take forever. That being said my kids all really enjoyed it and it’s about having fun and making memories. The tools that came with work well and you get 5lbs of clay which is great. Instructions are easy to understand. It also has the option of battery power or electric which is nice.

Okay for super beginners
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted to try to make pottery but we don’t have any pottery studios in my area. So when I had the opportunity to get this for free in exchange for my honest review, it was a no brainer (although I told my husband I got it for the kids). It took awhile to make everything the right consistency - not too sticky or too slippery - but after I got it figured out I had fun (I guess the kids did too).

A fun little activity!

This obviously isn’t going to create quality pottery, but it was certainly good enough to make a couple of cute pieces. It would be nice if the machine spun a little faster so a person could control the clay a little better, but that was our only complaint.

Such a good present!

I was scared of ordering this because of 2 reasons. We had bought a cheaper one before and it didn’t work well at all. Secondly I didn’t want a big mess in the house. However, we loved it! It’s not too messy! Easy to use! Easy to clean up too! Kids will absolutely love it!

Your kids first pottery wheel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an easy and safe way to introduce children to pottery making. It does what it is meant to do, but if you’re more of an advanced maker the motor may not beetroot enough for your needs. For younger children however, it gives them the ability to learn to use their foot to get the motor started and their hands at the same time to make something. This wheel is battery operated but can easily be switched over to electrical power with a. USB cable. Overall I would recommend this for young children to get a jumpstart into pottery making.

Even for me as an adult, I had a difficult time, you can't add too much water, or it becomes too watery but can't be too dry or else can work with it. Relaxing and enjoyable to use, tho

If I could give 0 stars I would. The wheel barely moved and the clay is awfully hard to work with. My 5 yo lost patience with this so quickly.
