This face wash saved my skin. Last summer I got poison ivy on my face. It destroyed my skin barrier. Every face wash that I tried made it worse. Stay Away if You Have Sensitive Skin
My skin is already dry and sensitive, and this made it even worse. This works if you don’t have to remove your makeup. It left my face so waxy feeling and my full face of makeup was still there had to really scrub my face and even then it wasn’t clean enough. Definitely not for makeup removal like it says

Not a great cleanser
Moisturizing but does not remove concealer or foundation. If it’s not removing those then it’s probably not really cleaning the skin of all dirt. It did leave a lot of makeup residue behind. This product is probably best for people who are not wearing foundation or concealers.

does NOT remove makeup
the cleanser states it’s a gentle makeup remover, but it is not. the photo i attached is what came off of my skin after i cleansed my skin twice with the thayer’s hydrating wash. i feel if it can’t remove a thin layer of makeup, it’s most likely not that effective at cleansing my skin overall.
