Keeps a room, home, bedroom, apartment, dorm or garage comfy during the summer months when the heat sets in. Works in double hung or sliding windows only, no crank windows. To minimize noise and vibration, the air conditioner should be placed on a firm floor. For safe and secure positioning, place the unit on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit. For a better cooling, make sure all the windows and doors are closed. Connect the duct and make sure it can function properly. Also note that, mirco processor control delays the compressor from operating until 3 mins have passed.

    LEAKING FREON ( out of the box)

    Got this product in 30 mins ago … leaking freon. I’m 9 months pregnant and as you can assume I’m very upset and concerned that’s I’ve been breathing this. The coils are also bent inside! Very cheaply made for what they are charging.

    Cool me Black +Decker

    I had doubts but the Black +Decker name I have always trust. I setup the Black + Decker portable air conditioner in my small bedroom because it couldn’t fit in the living room . I let it set for 24 hours before I turned it on ,my only disappointment is I didn’t buy 8000BTU It really works,my air conditioning is not working so I needed something that would keep me cool , not too expensive, easy to install and clean with out too much hassle . I am going to buy the 14000BTU. To use for my entire Home. It’s has its own remote

    Cools the room great but is a bit loud

    I've had this in my room over a garage which has poor insulation and the morning sun to its always been very hot compared to the rest of the house. I bought this and set it to 67 on the A/C Auto and its kept my room nice and cool for the first time in years it feels like. Only downside for me is its pretty loud when the compressor kicks on which startles me sometimes, but it might just be me with this being my 1st portable A/C.

    Awesome product

    I bought this for my 3rd floor bedroom and it has changed my sleep for good! Doesn't matter what time of year unfortunately in my old house the temperature is always at least 10 degrees hotter in the bedroom than any other room in the place. What a game changer. So simple and easy to install and it works amazing. The remote is super handy and all the functions on it work perfectly.

    Great unit

    I bought this to run off my generator when the power is out because of the hurricanes in Florida. It's a great little unit that's easy to move around and has terrific functionality. I am very happy with my purchase. It runs off the generator perfectly! And I can keep my bedroom cool when the power goes out. Perfect!

    Cools fast

    I bought this a month ago and it’s efficient and I love how it turns on and off to adjust to the temperature. Looking forward to lower electric bills. Still waiting for the extra panels for the sliding glass door, but otherwise I’m very happy.

    Black & Decker portable air conditioner 10,000 BTU

    I bought this unit and so far it has been working great , cools my room very quickly. Whenever you clean the filters be careful as they are delicate. When cleaning mine one of the tabs broke and I am hoping B & D will send me a replacement.

    Fast start up!

    This product has been a life saver for our family! We live in a trailer, so that means it’s an oven in the summer and an ice box in the winter. After purchasing this black and decker we are able to cool down our home within 10-20 minutes on the medium fan setting. Winter just started so we will see how well the heater works. 10/10 highly recommend
