Excellent sound improvement
I think the equipment is wonderful. I upgraded from my old (very old) Acoustimass system to external speakers, base, and sound bar. The sound is very good. The seperation is good. The bass is incredible, and the set up was wayyyyyyy easy!! Kudos to whomever engineered the set up....excellent job.

Soundbar is amazing but Connecting 700 sub has some chirping sounds even when you put volume to 0, I think it’s interference but we will test with direct cable and see that goes away, other than that I love Bose

Sounds good
I previously had a Bose Soundbar 600 before it failed, so I bought the Smart Ultra. I'm sure the sound was better from the 600 but can not compare them side by side. I hope I do not have any problems like I had with the 600, time will tell.

I’ve had my soundbar for 2 months now and I’m extremely happy with it the sound quality is superb it way better than I was expecting it looks great with its glass top finish I also bought the 700 bass module and can’t believe the sound that comes out of it.can highly recommend both

Not Great!
I've owned for about a year. Sound is pretty good. I bought the 700 Bass speaker and surround speakers. I have lots of trouble getting it to turn on with the TV (using ARC) HDMI. I really wish I had returned it. Very aggravating.

All round excellence
I bought the Smart Ultra Soundbar and Bass Module 700 to replace an ageing CineMate system. With the passage of time, I was ready for the new system to offer more and sound better, but the reality exceeded my expectation. It looks great and sounds fantastic. I'm old enough to remember what a faff it was to configure new audio technology, but the set up of the Smart Ultra and bass module couldn't have been easier. Even running the AdaptiQ sound calibration system was quick and straight forward and being able to control the entire system from the Bose app makes life easier. But it's the sound quality that really sets the system aside, for me it lifts watching movies to another level. If it lasts as long as my old CineMate system I'll be very happy.

Bose hits another one out of the park
I purchased the Ultra Soundbar in January 2026.....it was the latest in a very long list of Bose products I have purchased over the years. The quality of construction and the ease of installation was so easy with the Bose App on my Android phone. The ATMOS sound is a step up from the already great Dolby sound. I am still learning how to set up a proper ATMOS environment. What really got me...in February I notice the Ultra Soundbar went on sale...I contacted Bose and they credited my card the entire discount....THAT IS SERVICE!

Good sound system that can be improved
I purchased this soundbar as a part of a sound system. The soundbar is great but needs the help of the Bass module to get the low end sounds. The surround speakers are OK but not great - if the surround speakers were better my rating would be a 5.
