Great Color & Tone… Not So Great Full Body Result

If you have textured skin from weight loss or pregnancy, this is not the product for you. Whike the formula is lightweight and true dark as advertised, it does not take to all areas of skin regardless of exfoliating or shaving.

This tanner is so dry & hard to work with, very messy, smelly for days after, stains sheets, streaky & wears off quickly. I bought this for the color payoff & violet undertone, but it's just not worth it. I've tried applying it a few different times with differnet methods for trial & error - none of which were successful. It's expensive and a mess to put on, dries before you can blend it in. It takes me 30-45minutes to apply, which is a no in and of itself. All of my sheets and comforter are stained, along with my bathroom cabinets - even after cleaning off the little dots of tanner that splattered right away. Not to mention the gnarly rash it left on my neck & face. Looked like I had 100 swollen misquito bites. And after all of that, the tan starts of come off after 24 hours - even with good moisturizing shower products and applying lotion throughout the day. My go-to for years has been the St Tropez 2 Hour Express Mousse, which works great. However, I was looking for something darker & with a violet undertone. If they could match the formula to the 2 Hour Express mousse, it would be perfect. Would not recommend the Supeme Violet unless your looking for stress.

I love this tanner! It is foolproof as long as you use a mit and rub it in. It looks so splotchy and its true it doesnr fully dry down but once you rinse it off and let it develop it is a beautiful natural looking tan. I let it sit for about 4-5 hours on my super pale skin before washing it off and im always impressed!! Its worth the stickiness

25 years of self tanning. Decided to give this a shot shot today using gloves. Thin layer, gloves, speed, moisturizing dry spots, and buffing afterwards, gives streak free results.
Please, never stop making this product!

FINALLY!!!! A self tanner that is NOT orange. Very natural and dark, dark, dark! Use plenty of the mousse to get those results. Not so fun hanging for 8 hours, (don't want to wear it to bed) waiting for development, but results well worth it! Thx!!
I really wanted to love this

This product never fully dries. It stays tacky from start to finish. It also does not apply evenly. The color does not come out very dark and it is streaky in areas once processed. I am an expert tanner and tried every trick in the book.
So sad they changed their formula

The GUIDE COLOR on this looks crazy when you're applying, but rest assured, usually the actual tan is blended. I have only had one application where I had some patchiness (I also had some stubborn tan i could not get off in that area). Which leads me to my next point, that it is HARD to get off. This lasts me about a week, but it does cling to spots and really does stick if you don't have the right things to remove it. HOWEVER, I LOVE this tan and will continue to buy it. The color is phenomonal. As I mentioned before the application can look a mess, but the actual tan itself is almost always gorgeous. It doesn't smell terrible. It does dry relatively quick, but I have stained my toiler because of it. I havent experienced transfer to clothes/sheets but I also usually wear dark colors when using it and wear long sleeves and pants to avoid this. I would not reccommend to anyone that isnt experienced with self tanning, but if you are experienced and looking for an amazing dark tan this is for you!!!
I will return it

I loved the color payoff and the smell is better than the original. I hate the fade and how long it stays sticky.

I was expecting it to last a few days but ive used it twice and my daughter has used it. Weve done everything your supposed to do, exfoliate and moisturize and waited 24 hours before putting it on. All that good stuff!! Put it on in morning waited 8 hours took a shower and you can just see all of it come off. Also better not get it wet through out the day cause you'll definitely see it come off.

I have been sunless tanning for years and have always had a hard time getting dark from the natural sun. This gives me a deep, dark tan. Not orange. I will say- dont stress about it blending when applying. It goes on patchy but when you rinse it is flawless and the streaks are gone. Lasts me about a week per application. Highly recomend this product

This self tanner is incredible in every single way. Ive been searching for a tanner that gives you a deep olive color and this is the holy grail. So worth the money. Im extremely picky on my self tanners and I give this one a 10/10. It literally gives I went to the Bahamas in a bottle. The most gorgeous olive deep tan with looking natural. Absolutely incredible. I would recommend shaving and exfoliating like usual before applying any self tanner. Also i would recommend applying at night, so when you wake up, you shower and are left with a beautiful deep olive tan. Im fair and the color is like no other. Trust me. Also a little goes a long way. Do it in sections. Like top of arm, bottom half of arm, chest, neck and face. I use one pump for each section. For my hands I use the remaining tanner from my bottom half of my srm into my hands and it works perfectly. A little of this product goes a long way. Trust me. You must work fast with this also. Not to mention this color lasts a week plus some. I was shocked at the longevity of this color. It fades nicely too. No issues at all. I get tons of compliments also on my tan when i apply this. A little secret i do to really make you look like a deep bronzed goddeees…. Tan at night with this product. Wake up shower then i use the fake bake flawless darker on top and omgggg the color combination of both is unmatched. But this product on its own is amazing. Hope this review helped ☀️☀️☀️☀️

I have been self tanning twice a week for many years. I have my routine and products that I stick to faithfully but I went to ulta to repurchase my usual and it was out of stock. So I decided to give this a chance. The application of this product is miserable. It's sticky and streaky and takes an annoying amount of effort. ALERT VERY STICKY. The result is a nice even tan, pretty dark. HOWEVER, the fade is hideous. It's one of those types of tanners that cracks into scaley-looking dried up lizard skin. This product also made me drier and itchier than normal. Finally, the exfoliating process feels like true physical labor. I wanted this OFF MY BODY so badly and I literally could not get certain areas to come off. I chaffed my entire body to remove this to no avail. Now my whole body feels like an open wound but the tan is somehow still somewhat there. I'd rather have just been pale. I cannot say I'd recommend anybody use this product.

I like the deep dark color of this product, but it does not come out as foam and is quite thick and sticky. The bottle leaks a lot so it's difficult to travel with.

I tried this self tanner because I really want one with a blue/violet undertone but this is the WORST self tanner I have ever used. It applies unevenly, doesnt dry and feels sticky all day, and starts to fade/becomes blotchy within 72 hr of applying. Ive used at least 30 differnet self tanner products and have had hundreds of professional spray tans and this is in my bottom couple products. The color is pretty nice but the application looks so bad that it doesnt even matter

Im an avid self tanner, do it once a week and even used different tanners the entire time I was pregnant. This tanner is so difficult to apply and will excentuate every blemish and stretch mark and hair. I do the same tan prep every week and it has worked for years beautifully, I don't think any level of prep could help this. There are so many better st tropez options.
I would buy this product over and over again

I am a tanologist that does professional spray tans and i LOVE this! The smell is better than most, dries quickly, and has a great non orangy tone. This will be my new go to when my hubby is too tired to give me a professional spray tan.

So i bought this self tanner at the end of May 2024. I had such a hard time with it. I felt like i could never blend it and it was so patchy. Ive mixed it with lotion and still had issues bc it took forever to dry and it was still especially streaky and patchy. So i decide to give it another whirl. I used a velour mitt and put it on after I exfoliated. I pumped it into my mitt and applied in lng strokes and blended lghtly only until my leg was a uniform color. It actually worked!! I wish i took pics before and after!! I will next time, I promise!!I can't believe i wasted so much time trying to blend away the violet color, its meant to be the guide as well as help the color be so golden! I truly feel like a big old dummy! Lol I'm very experienced with self tanner, I've been using it since the only one was QT (quick tan by Coppertone, I think) and that was just a disaster, talk about orange!! But if you are careful and work fast until it looks like a uniform violet color you'll be golden!!
