Mine is wobbly. Made a sandwich and it left nice marks on the bread and heated it up nicely though I did have to press the top lid down. Very frustrating to try to clean. Will probably return.

It would be 5 stars, but... Absoulutely love this small appliance, but... purchased a second one for my granddaughters' dorm room and I a little disappointed. The surface of the griddle seems to be a bit different from the one I purchased a few years back, but maybe that's somewhat of an upgrade in the nonstick arena. However, that surface is slightly flawed, seems as though some spots not covered by the topical surface coating. They are small and initially, I thought they were just something that was on the surface and I could wash off, but that wasn't the case. Also, the spatula is missing. I thought maybe it wasn't included anymore, but when I checked the instruction manual, it is highlighted. I'm wondering if it was a return. With all of that being said, I do believe that the appliance itself is awesome when everything is as it should be. Quick smash burgers, grilled cheese, specialty sandwiches, veggies, chicken strips, and lots more. Thick sandwiches, thin sandwiches, it's easy to adjust the press. That's why I was trying to get one for the girls. It's like having a high-end panini press for a fraction of the cost. I still would recommend it. Pictured is a scrambled egg with spinach, cheese, on potato bread sandwich that I made last week. 😋

Great product. Heats quickly and cooks fast. Food will burn if you don’t keep an eye on it.

I used this once. The only reason I'm allowing it two stars is because it does what it says. Cook food. Does it well and has a good size to it (larger than a regular George Foreman). But I just can't give it more because the plates are non-detachable. They're stuck on. So if you want to clean it you have to wipe it down somehow. I tried doing it on the counter and it made a mess of the counter with no real way to rinse it off. I tried dangling it over the sink, because it's non-submersible, and the struggle with the grill in one hand and the wash in the other was very difficult. And then to flip it over and get the top plate clean too? It's too difficult! And that's besides the fact of the big flipping handle getting in the way several times when cooking and cleaning. I'm returning this as soon as I can and going back to the original George Foreman with detachable plates which can be popped off and stuck in the dishwasher. Even hand cleaning was so much easier.

You can’t take the grill plates off at all to clean them. The cord is about a foot and a half long. There is no on and off switch. There are no temperature controls. I’m giving it away solely based on the cleanup time. This is a panini/grilled cheese maker only. I wouldn’t even consider making another batch of grilled chicken on it because it takes forever to clean.

It's fast preheating.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present. He loves it. It is easy to use and very easy to clean. He made a turkey, roasted red bell pepper and mozzarella sandwich. It was delicious!

The item that I received was a return or a demo because there no hard packing holding the grill in place in it's box and the grill and electric cord was not in the their plastic bags. The bags were laying loose in the box. The box was poorly taped close and had came open doing shipment and the grill was part way out of it box. The grill appears to work but only time will tell. The service is what I am rating not the product.

It’s broken out of the box. Ready light on as soon as plugged in and not heating at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to replace our panini press and have always had good experiences with Hamilton Beach products. This is lighter and faster to heat up and I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive press that can handle whatever you put on it.

Although alot smaller than I expected, the press does what it needs to do. Heats up quick and retains heat for a while. Just got to be careful you don’t touch the top whilst not using it as it is still hot after turning off
