Child lock deactivate instructions
I bought this Maytag microwave a couple days ago 3-28-26 after reading all the reviews on this website (Target). Many of the reviews mentioned that they didn't know how to disable the child lock. Mine came with a sticker on the door that had a QR Code to scan with your phone. I'm adding the instructions here in case someone needs it. So far the microwave works great. The discounted price (79.99) is only for online orders, so we went to the store to see if any were in stock then ordered one for pick up.

Good microwave and quick pick up
I’ve had this microwave now for a good six months. It took me three months to realize that there was a protective film over the keyboard push button buttons. I was thinking oh my gosh this panel is so beat up- my appliances never look like this! Then, as I took a closer look, I realized I never removed the protective sticker film! When I pulled that off, everything was perfect! I actually got quite the laugh.

Microwave Blew Up, Target Customer Service Useless
Microwave started to smell like burning plastic and blew out after exactly 4 months and ten days. While it isn't the best microwave out there, any appliance should last more than 4 months. I sought a resolution via chat and "Faith" was absolutely no help. Target should stand by the products they sell after such a short usage window, and should invest in training their online customer service staff. I would think twice before purchasing any appliance from Target if this is the standard response.

This microwave for me has two things going against it. I don’t like the lock feature. Everytime you microwave something it locks. You have to unlock it to get your food out. Also since the front is stainless steel. The first day I used it, it shows a lot of finger prints. To me it makes the microwave look unclean.
