    Easy to install and strong safety

Apperance is nice and sleek . It's easy for an adult to open the door you slide the button and use strength to pull it open from the bottom magnetize part .

    32" doorway, awkward fit

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The gate looks great. Nice simple design, height is great, easy to put together for the most part. I have a couple of issues. With the extension pole, I cannot get the tension knob and bolt to fit in the doorway due to the extension pin that connects the gate with the extension pole. It blocks part of the hole the bolt gets inserted to. Without the extension pole, it doesn't feel as secure because the bolts are almost maxed out to fit my doorway. I have a 32" doorway. It would be fine if you don't have a toddler pushing on it. It would be good for animals.

    Auto close toddler gate

Even with the extension it still feels extremely sturdy and well made. The height seems like any average baby gate you'd find. 1 thing I love about this one is how easy it is to move from one doorway to another as we frequently switch between two spots in our home. It's also very easy to clean which is nice with how dirty the kiddos can get things quick. Overall recommend this product and brand.

    Looks nice but hard to open

I didn’t find it to be the best design for ease of use (would be difficult to open if holding a baby). It does look nice in the house though.     Aesthetically pleasing, but arrived broken

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Toddleroo baby gate looks great in my home; we have black spindles and it just fits visually. I love the individual tension parts since we have varying widths due to our decorative newel posts. Assembly was easy enough, but I don’t trust my own hand strength enough to hand tighten for the correct tension. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism at the bottom of the gate (to catch the gate and hold it in place at the floor) fell off. There are two plastic nubs on the piece to hold into the gate and one of the nubs is completely gone. It arrived that way. I will be reaching out to the company for a replacement piece. We have plans to keep this at the bottom of the stairs - the directions state that you do not need to screw the mounting cups in place at the bottom of the stairs (just at the top), but I would feel much more comfortable screwing the cups in place regardless of where it is set in place. It comes with sticky mounting tape, but it’s so flimsy, I can’t see it holding up against a determined toddler.

    Nice and sturdy

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The North States StepSafw Auto-Close Gate is a good bat gate. The material is sturdy and not to heavy. It was simple to assemble following the instructions. Only thing that was a little frustrating was that you had to take apart the swing back hatch and rescrew it to the frame. Other gates I have used already had this piece attached so that was different. But overall it does the job!
