I love that the car seat is compatible with the Maxi-Cosi Tayla stroller which is very convenient and easy to use. However, the straps on the car seat are not the same length so it it almost impossible to safely secure my baby into the car seat properly. I have tried over and over to get the straps to match without success.

I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and i've loved trying this out! The fabric is very smooth and comfortable. The seat itself is so lightweight and makes carrying baby so much easier! I love the smooth covering that pulls over the baby. This carseat has the 1-click latch system which makes installation very quick and simple. I also love how compact it is because I have a four door sedan with a smaller backseat and this car seat fits comfortably and feels safe!

The esthetics/ color choices. The simplicity. The lightweight but functional ease of use. The sun shade was by far one of my favorite features - sturdy, but lightweight and easy to pull forward or back. My few complaints were easy to be navigated, but were bummed to have to do. The shoulder straps were a thoughtful design I haven't seen before. So easy to take off, yet didnt have velcro rubbing on my baby's neck - yet padding just felt to thick to use safely. 5 options for shoulder straps and two for the bottom buckle, loved the numerous changes to go with growth and that the straps didn't rub too tightly on my baby's neck, but could never get to fit right on her thighs. My husband was a fan of the large carrying handle, but myself being 5'2", it seemed almost too large for me. Otherwise my baby seemed happy in it! Never cried being tightened in (rare with her!)

I tried using this product for my 3.5 month old, who already had a different car seat. One thing that stood out to me immediately was the soft, attractive fabric. The seat and the canopy are buttery soft and feel luxurious. Next, even with the newborn inserts removed, my baby fits more snug in this car seat on the sides compared to her other car seat and it feels more secure. I wonder if that means she will also grow out of it more quickly, but for her current size, I much prefer the fit of this Mico Pro seat. It was also easy to adjust the shoulder height to give my daughter a proper fit. Lastly, installation was a breeze with LATCH, and I appreciate that I can use the car seat without the base in “taxi mode” when necessary. Overall, I was very impressed with this car seat. I took away a star because I tried to buy a stroller second hand to clip this car seat in, and I bought a stroller but I learned too late that you need adapters even with Maxi Cosi brand strollers. I would expect Maxi Cosi car seats to just work with Maxi Cosi strollers without needing yet another piece, and this was a letdown.

The price is extremely reasonable in this market and the quality is of the highest. You can immediately see and feel just how well made it is from the fabric to the base and the overall frame. The color is a stunning light brown almost beige with leather details that really elevate the look, while the material of the fabric is soft and comfortable for even the smallest of babies. I have been using this car seat with my newborn from the moment he was born and even now at 6 weeks old it’s still amazing! It’s easy to set up the base and the car seat snaps on and comes off super easy, you’re able to release it with just one hand. The canopy does well in keeping the sun out of baby’s face while still being breathable. It was also extremely easy to adjust to his size! Right away, I was pleasantly surprised with the luxury look of this infant car seat and base, given the affordable price. I appreciate the minimalist design, the faux leather accents, and soft fabrics. Bonus points for using recycled fabric made from water bottles! It took a few minutes to adjust the straps to my baby's height by re-threading them through the appropriate height slots. The base was very easy to install and took less than a minute using the LATCH system. It was easy to find an adaptor online to connect it to my stroller of a different brand. My baby seems comfortable and, most importantly, safe! The car seat is a little larger and heavier than the other brand that we currently have, but still the car seat is on the lighter side and this is a nice alternative at a great price point.

I am a mom of five kids, so I feel I have a lot of experience with car seats and know what I am looking for in one. I would rate this car seat as "gets the job done". A car seat is a big purchase, so there is a lot to say. I'll start with the pros and then move on to the cons. PROS: *The fabric is extra cushy and feels high end. The canopy especially is impressive. It is thick and zips to the rest of the cover. My baby looked extra cozy snuggled in this car seat, and seemed really comfortable in it! We spend a lot of time in the car with extracurriculars, school pick ups and drop offs, etc. and she seemed to enjoy her time in it. *The fabric comes off without having to undo the harness. This is a huge pro! When baby has a blow out or throws up, you won't be up to your elbows in the mess. *It is lightweight, and the handle has a leather accent on top that makes it easy to grip. *It's winter right now, but I did appreciate the air flow holes on the side. Babies get so sweaty in these seats in the summer. CONS: *This car seat is pretty basic for the price point. There aren't any bells or whistles. If you want things like European belt routing, anti-rebound bars, side impact protection, etc. this car seat is not for you. *Installation is a pain. There is no bubble level or even a level line on the base, so in order to make sure you have it reclined correctly, you have to have the seat attached to the base...but you can't tighten it with the seat on top, which means there is a lot of trial and error by taking the seat on and off to make sure the recline is correct. Installation with no base is a lot easier. *When you are driving the handle has to be in the upright position. This is annoying to have to remember each time you put the car seat back in. I also don't like that to move the handle, you have to squeeze on both sides. We have three car seats going across and it is a tight fit to squish my hand between the two seats to move the handle. *The harness needs to be re-threaded each time baby outgrows it. At this price point, I would expect a no-rethread harness. *The seat is pretty thin, but it has a large footprint from front to back. If you have a small backseat, it might not fit. In short, if you are looking for a lightweight, easy to install baseless, ventilated seat with cushy, easy to remove fabrics, this is the car seat for you! It would be great for travel or if you use a lot of ride shares. If you are looking for a car seat with lots of convenient features and bells and whistles, I would keep looking. We will keep this seat as a backup for when our main seat is being cleaned, or as an extra seat in my husband's car.

I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it checked so many boxes for what I want in an infant car seat! Taking it out of the box I was immediately impressed with the design. The fabric is so soft and my baby seemed so comfortable in it! I love the leather on the handle and everything felt very high quality. I had trouble with moving the handle up and down. When it is in the down position, it's difficult to press both buttons and bring it to the upright position. I'm hopeful that with more practice this will become easier but it is more challenging initially. Installing baby gear properly can sometimes be tough but the directions were really clear and simple which made installation a breeze! I had to adjust the car seat straps to fit my son and had no trouble doing so. I used the latch system to put the base in my car. It clipped in easily and I was able to adjust the strap to get it tight and secure. There is a level sticker on the car seat to make sure it is parallel with the ground, but I wished there was an actual level on the car seat so I didn't feel like I was eye-balling it. I was able to feel confident about how I installed it, regardless! I drive a larger SUV but it was very easy to put it in and out of the car. It took about 25 minutes from taking it out of the box to having it ready to go in my car! I love how light the car seat is. My son is a larger baby so between the car seat being lightweight and the arched handle for carrying, it is very comfortable for me to use as well! Overall I am very happy with the Maxi Cosi Mico Pro car seat and am excited to use it for months to come!

My first impression was that this seat is very lightweight, comfortable, and I appreciate the sleek design. This seat installs very easily. I used the anchors since my vehicle supports that but you also have the option to use a seat belt. I currently drive a 2024 Kia carnival. The base is easy to tighten and get a good fit. The car seat clicks into the base with ease so no issues there. The seat itself has a non rethread harness and it has 5 adjustable spots which is so helpful in getting a good fit. Especially if you have a small NICU baby. I wish I would have had this seat when my daughter came home from the hospital at 5lbs 1 oz because we had a hard time finding a seat that fit her properly in the first few weeks. I also really like the recline of this seat for smaller babies. It is more ‘C’ shaped and not ‘L’ shaped like other seats which I feel like is helpful when babies don’t have great head control, are very small, or suffer from reflux. There are also 2 slots to adjust the crotch buckle which is pretty standard. The seat fabric is very comfortable and plush. The seat comes with a newborn insert, shoulder pads, and a head support. We received this seat when my daughter was 6 months old so I removed the newborn insert and the shoulder straps to get a proper fit. My daughter currently weighs 14lbs and is 25 inches long and has plenty of room to grow in this seat. The canopy is great and offers ample sun protection. I have a few cons for this seat which is why I took off one star. The button to release the harness is further back than typical seats. You have to wedge your finger back to access it which is slightly annoying and may be difficult for people with larger fingers. Also, there is no bubble indicator to assure you have the right angle of the base/car seat. There is a guide line which helps but I prefer the bubble. Lastly, this car seat offers less options for stroller compatibility in comparison to other brands. Overall, this is a great seat and I’d recommend it!

Enter the Maxi-Cosi Micro Pro Infant Car Seat. I received this seat as part of the Stellar Product testing panel and jumped on the opportunity to see if there was a baby option that was a good fit for my family. First off, it’s light. When you have twins, every ounce matters, especially when you’re doing the uncoordinated mom shuffle from house to car. The seat itself feels super cozy and secure. Installation was surprisingly painless, and clicking it in and out is smooth enough that I don’t wake a sleeping baby. The twins and I approve.

I didn’t have any hassles installing this car seat into my truck, the Micro Pro infant car seat is very lightweight as my baby is 4 months old and heavy just by herself, it wasn’t hard to lift her with her car seat and snap it into the base. She is seated in the middle and my truck is pretty tall so I appreciate the car seat not being super heavy. I actually have Peri 180 rotating car seat from Maxi Cosi that I purchased before my little one was born, I did purchase it because of all the great reviews. I love the car seat as well but the base is bigger and with having a toddler in a car seat too it is a little tight for both of them. These two are very similar in comfort and style, I really like how far the sun shade comes down on the Micro Pro car seat. I do have the Maxi Cosi stroller caddy and I’m super happy to say that this car seat also fits into it. The price for the Micro Pro car seat is more affordable but doesn’t skimp on the features and safety. I am very happy with the Micro Pro car seat. And thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat. I am going to provide a picture with the Micro Pro infant car seat on the left and the peri 180 rotating car seat on the right so you can see they are very similar. I will be using both car seats one will go into my husband’s truck. I can’t recommend this product enough. I absolutely love it.
