Rucker Roots Smoothing Sulfate-Free Shampoo - 8 fl oz

I knew it contained sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate, which is a harsh surfactant. But it wasn't the main ingredient so I thought it might be ok. Nope. This stripped my hair and scalp of all moisture after one use. After I rinsed the suds out of my hair I knew it was bad because my hair was squeaky clean. That's never a good sign. It also contains Dimethicone, a silocone that coats/builds up on hair and keeps moisture from penetrating hair. There's nothing good about this shampoo or the companion consitioner.

I really wanted to love this product. The reviews sold me!! But for me it was a different a story. I used this shampoo for about 3-4 weeks and it gave me really bad dandruff. I never really suffer from dandruff but this shampoo gave me a really horrible itchy scalp!! I couldn’t stop scratching!! So it was a no for me.

This product is great! It leaves my hair so fresh and clean. It is great of you want to go for the natural look or a sleek blowout.

i’ve never given a review to any hair products, but i feel like for this line i have to! after buying the shampoo and conditioner i had to buy the entire line because it was just that good. makes my hair feel so soft and i like knowing that they use good safe ingredients. 10/10 never buying another hair care line again!

A year ago I purchased Rucker Root's Shampoo, Detangling Conditioner, Anti- Frizz Silkening Growth Serum, Leave-In Heat Protectant, and Styling Mousse. It was the first time I had seen the product, but decided to purchase most of the product line to be sure I was using items that worked together. I was drawn into the product line by the fact that the products were made with natural ingredients and the business was owned by two women. To say that the products worked well with my thick, permed straight but otherwise kinky-curly hair would be an understatement. My hair held curls longer while being soft to touch and light (no build up). The products left a pleasant smell in my hair that was not perfumed. The biggest surprise is that I brought the Anti- Frizz Silkening Growth Serum, Leave-In Heat Protectant, and Styling Mousse with me to my hair stylist for her to use in my hair. My stylist complimented the products for making my hair smooth and soft. The products are high quality and have helped me take care of my hair.

I love love love these products! I’ve been using them on my daughters hair and ever since it hasn’t been brittle and dry like it use to be.

I purchased the shampoo and conditioner for my relaxed hair. The shampoo lathers very well and rinses clean. It has a very light natural scent. I did not have to use much product to clean my hair thoroughly. My hair felt detangled prior to using conditioner as well. Will continue to use.

My son and I love the shampoo and conditioner! I blow dry and flat iron my curls and my son’s natural curls are moisturized after using this line. The products are natural and smell great! I wish Rucker’s were sold in the store.

I absolutely love this line of products and so does my family (husband and boys). It is all natural, has a wonderful smell, and makes my hair feel soft and clean. It does not leave residue like other products have I have tried. The best natural hair product.

Purchased this shampoo hoping for the best but not expecting much; was I pleasantly surprised. Never heard of Rucker Roots but thought I would give it a try. I specifically bought it for my daughter (mixed hair) but figured I would try it first. After the very first use I could immediately feel the difference. My hair feels so soft and smells great. I must add that I use it in combination with the conditioner. Love it and would recommend to everyone.
