Sevin Insect Killer Concentrate Pest Control, Pint

Did NOT work on contact and still have potato beetles on plants, even immature beetles on plants. Tried on Japanese beetles and they laughed. And kept eating. This does not deserve a 1 star, but cannot submit without it.

I've been using nothing but this product for 36 years and only this product. It has never let me down. Now I don't know what you guys did over the past 5 years, but fix it or I'm going back to MSMA and Triazide. It covers half as much (at best). Washes off with the slightest of hint of an overnight shower. 30% of my plants are still getting eaten. The only thing it seemed to do was get rid of grubs quickly. All other insects seemed to get bigger, stronger and more of. I went from 4 bottles per treatment to 9 to 14 to now I mix the concentrated as directed and nothing. To I mixed it 50/50 with same results. I tried it as a white milky straight undiluted this last time on just the right side of my lawn and triazide on my left. Left side is bug free except for the occasional mosquito. Right side take 5 steps and your shins, socks and shoes are covered in bugs keep walking and so will your forearms and head. 2 of the bottles wouldn't even disperse the pesticide, only water... like I said... I don't know what you did in the past years. But please undo it. I can say there's no caterpillars or horned worms or Japanese beetles anywhere.

Your quart spray bottles absolutely suck, I will never buy this product again.

I mixed Sevin concentrate as directed: 4 fluid ounces per gallon of water. Sprayed the mixture on my zucchini plants, butternut squash plants, and on my pear tree. All the leaves on the pear tree turned black within 24 hours. My squash plants produced no fruit and slowly died. I also bought Sevin granular pesticide for my lawn. When I saw what Sevin did to my pear trees, I returned the bags of Sevin back to the store for a refund. Never to buy Sevin again!

I purchased this for my rose bushes I normally use a different brand. I will not purchase again half of my rose bush dried up and died. This was with only one application. Thank goodness I didn't use on my vegetable garden.

One label says 4 oz's per gallon treat 2,000 sq ft and on the inside label under lawn it says 4 0z treats 250 square ft. I'm confused so that's why I have not used the concentrate yet but would like to.

I would have given five stars but the measurements provided by the cap are useless. I can't read the incrments even under ideal lighting. I use this product on my drawf orange tree so it is vital to follow the directions if you plan on eating the fruit. That said, this is the first product that effectively stops leaf miners. I've tried all kinds of "friendly" products to no avail but this product kills the leaf miners before they have a chance to wreck the ornimental value of my tree.

I sprayed this last night when it was cooler and not humid dealing with ants, pincher bugs and a few stink bugs I've already plucked what I did find (on zuchinni). Went out to check to see of I could find anymore adult stink bugs and my zuchinni plant was flat and wilted like it is dying. This morning my whole garden looks like it is dying as fruit is just starting to grow. I mixed according to label 4oz to 1 gallon in sprayer and misted all my plants. This is completely ridiculous. My garden is huge and takes a lot of effort blood sweat and tears to keep weeded fed and watered and in one day this stuff is killing it...do not use I am devastated!

Purchased two of the gallon ready to use Sevin. Hooked up the first one and the sprayer would not work. So opened up the second one and same thing! Now I'll have to buy a separate sprayer to apply the second.

I've been using sevin concentrate for three years. I have a good 4 gal sprayer....I mix it per the instructions. I apply an even mist top and bottom of leaves. Always check the weather, needs 24 hrs before you water or rain. I use it once a month. We also plant flowers around the 1/2 acre, above ground, garden to draw the bugs away from the vegetables and attract bees. For the beetles, I use a weak solution on liquid Ivory dishwashing detergent to spray on the beans and then knock the beetles into a bucket of soapy water. We have great results!

Used se7en concentrate on the entire outside of my home. From the perimeter of foundation around the house, soaked the shrubs, probably about head height on pine trees also treated the yard. It seemed to work pretty good for me. Years past you couldn't mow or do anything outside without a spider bite or some kind of pest bothering you. Now I treat my property about three times per year and maintain a mostly bug free environment. This stuff does have an oder till it dries and it does irritate the dog and you really do want to avoid any kind of puddling when spraying or standing water also windy conditions and bright sunny days are bad for application because it will wreck someone's day if you don't consider many factors but trust and believe it does kill those little devils. But plan on taking your time it's kind of consuming of your day treating a large area. The other option is going at it quick but plan on taking your clothes off in the garage before going back in the house because you are going to have a sleaze stack if you don't.

Used to kill large group of red ants in my newly paved driveway. Mixture is milky white and left a large white spot. Tried twice to powerwash away. Still there. Maybe state DOT can use it to line roads. Don't use where you don't want to look at it every day. I now have white ants instead of red ones!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been using Sevin under various names for a few decades. Usually the powder in a panty hose in the garden and on the dig when I was a kid. But you talk about how a little goes a long way. Then say 4 ounces to a gallon of water. But you leave out the part of the equation. How much area does that cover? A 10' X 25' area. You can put 4oz in a quart or 10 gallons, but the area it covers determines just how concentrated it is. 250 square feet needs 4 ounces of product. Would you please make that information a little easier to find, and possibly in your advertising? Would be appreciated.

I used it my small garden on my cucumber, tomato and squash tec and also my rose bush and other flowers. Every time I came across a big of any kind and I came across a lot of bettles, Grass hoppers stink bugs, worms you name it. They just stayed their and some moved from one place to another on the leaves and just looked at me and laughed or may me feel that way. I measured the right amount my husband watched me and shuck it and he pumped it. What was wrong!

Used it to kill insects eating my pepper plants. Didn't do anything they're eating even more of the plants

We use it primarily to control squash bugs in our small garden. It works great, but I would NOT recommend the Ready to Use bottle that attaches to the end of a garden hose. I purchased two bottles thinking it would be super easy, but neither bottle will dispense product. As I said, it works great but go for the concentrate or dust and save yourself the headache.

Opened new can and it was half empty. I know powder shifts but I got less than I paid for.

Sevin spray kills 100 insects. Also stains everything it gets on. No warning. Do not get it on your deck! Wood or Trex.

I purchased this product because a lot of my Facebook garden groups recommended this product for my large infestation of cucumber beetles and squash bugs. I applied it last night, and 24 hours later I went to my large vegetable garden to look around. I did not notice one bug flying in the air or on my plants. It did rain all day and it's still dreary. However, I'm saddened because the only dead bug which I saw was actually a honey bee on one of the leaves of my pumpkin. I'll know more tomorrow, and I'm praying for my pollinators that I'm not sending them to their death. I guess I'll see more tomorrow, but if you are looking to save the pollinators; this isn't the product, and sevin needs to put bees on their list of insects. If I would have reviewed sevin on line before use I would have used possibly a different product. Putting not to recommend to those who want to keep polinators yes for those who don't need them

I use 7 around the perimeter of my home and in shrubbery. Controls everything that bugs me for at least 90 days!
