STEM Flying Insect Light Fly Trap Refill

The STEM flying insect trap prevents me from getting so many bug bites indoors. The sticky refill sheet traps many gnats, small mosquitoes, and small flies. It has improved our indoor environment.

UGH. I was hopeful that this would be a great product! This summer, I bought some new houseplants from a local home improvement store, and some FUNGUS GNATS hitchhiked into our home. I had never heard of these little bugs until our recent invasion… They are tiny… They are nimble… They easily evade the frantic claps of the humans trying to kill them! I was hoping placing a STEM trap near the plants would help- but in the course of a week, this trap literally looks BRAND NEW. Didn’t catch a SINGLE BUG (fungus gnat or otherwise)!! I gave up and bought several ZEVO brand traps at that point and installed them near my plants as well as near our kitchen sink/window ledge (where I have some more little plants/starts). THE DIFFERENCE WAS NIGHT AND DAY! Within an HOUR, I had multiple dead fungus gnats safely trapped inside. IN ADDITION, the outside of the STEM traps are sticky, which could definitely be an issue if you have children or pets in your home!!! The ZEVO traps lure bugs into the INSIDE/BACKSIDE of the trap where the sticky (and easily changed) panel lies. ZEVO has both a wall trap similar to this STEM trap, or you can also buy the ZEVO Max, which looks like a little fragrance diffuser or tiny tabletop HEPA filter and contains not only a light to lure the bugs in, but TWO sticky internal panels to catch the little beasts! We’re still trying to kill the fungus gnats once & for all, but with Zevo traps in our home, we’ve reduced that number by 90+%!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying Zevo brand traps and passing on the STEM brand!

Compared to my Zevo this one doesn’t really work, it only catches some. Don’t spend your money in this one.

I had it plugged in for 3 days not 1 bug!! But I see them flying around! :(

It doesn't work. Have it plugged in for a week, not one insect, have gnats and fruit flies. Don't waste your money.

I had a fruit fly issue in my kitchen near my sink, bough this because it seemed like the safest choice since I have a small child in my home. I've now had it plugged in for a week and at most the sticky sheet has 3 bugs in it. I ended up going to the store and buying a cheap red trap and that cleared the problem in a day. Didn't work for me but I see how it would likely be a good one for mosquitos.

I had really high hopes for this product so I ordered it for the fruit flies that I have going on in my kitchen near my sink area and I've had it plugged in for roughly a week and there are literally two fruit flies on it and that's it meanwhile my fruit fly problem has flourished.

Had this plugged in for about a week now. The flys in my house have yet to actually go to the unit. It is plugged into the receptacle nearest the kitchen sink. The flys will be on the sink but that’s it.

I have so many flies and gnats in my home, especially in a concentrated area. I have had this plugged in for days but it has done nothing. I feel that all the reviews are fake. I always follow directions exactly as the box, site, and included paper says to do but nothing.

I don't think you can enter any room without a gnat annoying you. I put it in my living room where we spend a lot of time. Also we have multiple house plants in that room. It did catch a few over night but I would have liked it to have caught a lot more. For the price it is, I expected better results

This product is very easy to set up and use with very little instructions needed. Easy to install and use in your home. I love the blue light emitting from the light trap. My light trap however didn't catch any bugs while left on throughout the night. I also find the pricing of this starter kit to be too pricey and expensive even when on sale. I wouldn't recommend this product. I also felt like the starter kit should come with more than 1 refill simply just because of how pricey this starter kit is.

It didn't block any of my other outlets. could function as a night light in a hallway, bathroom or kitchen. In not sure how well it's gonna be in the long run. It doesn't seem like a UV light, more like just a blue LED light. Only cought a couple fruit flys in days.

I'm not sure I like this product more than other bait traps and pest control ideas I've tried indoors. Having it lit all day is kind of bizarre and seems like a waste of electricity. It's also way more expensive than other products, so unless you have a bunch of flying insects in your house at all times, I would not recommend it.

I have wanted a solution to cut down on small flying insects in our kitchen during warmer months. We have gnats and sometimes fruitflies. I plugged the trap in near our fruit basket since that's where most bugs are attracted. I think it is a good concept, but it definitely didn't work as well as I'd anticipated. I watched a small moth and a gnat fly right past it. The light doesn't seem to be attracting them. For the price, I would not purchase again. It is basically a blue nightlight with sticky paper.

This is similar to other brands in that it's just a night light with a glue trap attached. Pros: it's more visibly appealing than just a glue trap. Cons: the glue trap part is just OK when new and, like others, mine collected more dust and dog hair than bugs and quickly became useless.

I don't think it traps many bugs if any at all. The bug would just happen to be flying in that direction. I don't think this was the best use of money to kill gnats or mosquitoes.

It's hard for me to recommend this product, because it doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Basically, this is a blue LED nightlight with an adhesive plate behind the light. The blue light doesn't seem to actually attract any insects; but any bugs that happen to land on the adhesive will be stuck for sure. For the cost though it doesn't seem to be a good value. It would probably be a better option to get some spray or a different kind of trap. It looks nice and works well as a nightlight, but otherwise it's kind of pointless.
