Put 1 or 2 drops ion the affected eye(s) as needed. See side of carton for directions for use. Directions for Use: Hold the bottle just below the cap and twist the cap to open. Before first use, hold the bottle upside down and dispense one drop of product to discard. Shake the bottle downward to remove residual product (see picture). Place 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed and blink. After use, shake the bottle downward to remove residual product that may be left on the tip (see picture above). Replace cap after use.Other information

submitted byAlcon Product Expert - 1 year agoBrand expertA: Having used eye drops most of my life due to Sjogren's syndrome and severe dry eye disease even when I tried to wear contact lenses, suggestion from both ophthalmologists and company making the eye drops, recommendation is to wait at least 15 minutes after using the drops Before inserting contact lenses. If any doubts or questions, check with your doctor or a pharmacist.

A: The bottle has approximately 120 drops, so it should last you 15 days if you used 1 drop per dose in both eyes 4 times a day. Target will start selling a twin pack in April, it should be about a 25% discount off the second bottle! Thanks for your interest in Systane Hydration!

A: We recommend using them up within 3 months of opening. The bottle features a patented one-way valve that eliminates the need for preservatives. It does not need to be refrigerated. A: We recommend to always check with your Dr. before starting a new drop, but this is an excellent drop to use post surgery to relieve dry eye symptoms. However, these are not anti-inflammatory or antibiotic eye drops. I hope this helps and thanks for your interest in Systane!

I have had very dry eyes from allergies and this was recommended to help. Been using them for almost a month with no significant improvement. I put drops in and feel like i need it again less than an hour later.

I got ICL surgery and this was a doctor recommend for healing and dry eyes. The bottle isn’t great air gets trapped after one use and it’s annoying but the drops are good. Wish the bottle was better for how spendy they are I have noticed it helps with red eyes from dryness too!

I found the bottle difficult to work with. Air left the bottle permanently after one squish and I felt like I had to touch it to my eye to make sure the drops would land in the correct spot.

I usually use Refresh brand and got this from the eye doctor office as sample to try. First time I tried it, I woke up with swollen, itchy red eyes. I thought it was something else. I used a second time and it gave me the same problem. I went to eye doctor to treat my swollen eyes and she told me to stop using it which I did of course. I went back to Refresh brand since then.

Bought this because of eye surgery but with the design, I would continue to lose solution out of the bottle. Even with the cap on as tight as it would go fluid would still leak into the cap. Not worth spending that kind of money for a design flaw. Also the solution seemed to make my eyes more dry so went back to my other brand of eye drops which is working out just fine.

The drops feel amazing but the bottle is difficult to use for me. I have arthritic hands and the bottle ended up squeezing in the middle and I struggled to get the drops out I was able to get about a weeks worth before the bottle was too hard to use. I’m going back to the individual kind.

The eye drops themselves are fine. But the bottle design is awful. I understand it may be like this due to them being preservative-free. But sheesh the instructions suck, and the drops are hard to use once the bottle gets emptier.

Only used once, so my opinion is regarding the bottle. Reviews were confusing, so here’s the deal… The cap unscrews from the bottle like any plastic water bottle - the plastic seal breaks easily when you twist the first time. The top of the bottle IS different, and I can see how it might be harder to “aim” than other eye drops, but I didn’t have any problems. At first reading I was confused by, “After use, shake the bottle downward to remove residual product that may be left on the tip” but this probably is second nature for guys! :) Hope this clarifies.

Yes the bottle is different - it is designed to prevent bacteria from getting into the bottle since the drops are preservative free. If you use drops more than four times a day, you should use preservative free drops - and this bottle allows me to stay away from preservatives and waste less plastic.

i don’t care for these eye drops. the weird dropper is so hard to use and wastes product. just feels totally unnecessary. i have dry eye and need to use it multiple times a day, so the results aren’t long lasting in comparison to other brands i’ve tried. definitely won’t be purchasing again.
