    Disappointed and shocked

    I am truly disappointed in this window unit. It was purchased it in April this year, 2025, and by June it was spewing a rust-colored substance on the outside housing. Thinking it just may have been normal wear and tear, I reasoned that I would clean it at the end of the season, so, I left it alone. Last night I heard a noise I had not noticed before and peeped in through the air vent but didn't see anything. This morning, I looked in again and gasped at what I saw. The blades are black with mold and it's growing on the Styrofoam housing. I turned it off and opened the drain plug to let it dry out and the coil in that area is solid rust!

    DO NOT BUY!

    I bought this AC UNIT in April 2025. I have tried contacting the company TCL for a warranty claim since August. The unit was only 4 months old at the time. The compressor would run with the unit off and a bad smell was coming from the unit. Mold grew quickly inside. Was told we would get a replacement in 5-7 days but the company canceled the replacement order without telling us. Been without AC for a month. Truly, astonished on how a company could treat their consumer this way. I plead with you, do not buy this AC. I’m going to have to eat the cost and file a complaint with the BBB.

    AC too loud but works well (bar)

    Got this over the summer and it cools my bedroom very well. Only had it for a few months tho. Only down side is that it gets really noisy and has a clanky noise, to the point it wakes me up at night. Other than that so far so good.

    I used to think I was hot, now I'm cool with my TC

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boy, the summer is in full heat! I was extremely lucky to be gifted a TCL Air Conditioner for my honest review. When the box arrived, we couldn't wait to open it. It has all the bells and whistles you could want. First of all, I was extremely impressed by how nice looking it is. Feeling hot? No need to get up! The unit comes with an easy to use remote. On the actual air conditioner, the buttons are set up to make using it very easy. The mute button somewhat cuts down the noise, but it's not a total mute. There are different levels of the fan speed and temperature settings. The temperature can be set as low as 61° and that along with the high fan speed makes your room nice and cool! At the top of the unit is what I call the swing... It provides the direction of the air coming out of the unit. If you push the button once, it moves up and down. Hit it again, and it becomes stationary in the position that you push the button. There are way too many features of this wonderful air conditioner for me to summarize in this review. I highly recommend this TCL Air Conditioner to you if you want to be cool like me!

    Great AC for windows

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the 12,000 BTU Smart Window AC and I’m really happy with it. I use it to cool a 500+ sq. ft. room and it works fast. I love that I can control it from my phone or with voice commands. I found the remote easy to use and the unit runs quietly. Installation wasn’t too hard, but I did need help lifting it into the window because it’s a bit heavy. Overall, it’s a great buy for the features and performance.

We have central A/C but our 2nd floor still gets kond of hot so we put this in the window in our workout room / dog room and it's been SO nice to have. It also gives me more peace of mind that the dogs will stay cool during the summer when im not home.

    My Dream Air Conditioner!

    I highly recommend this AC unit, it was a spur of the moment item that my sweet brother ended up buying me while at Target. We ended up having to return a previous AC unit that unfortunately wasn't powerful enough or cooling my room down. This TCL is a phenomenal AC unit and definitely worth purchasing! It is easy to use the controls and has a variety of options and settings to choose from. It is good quality and not made cheap, it goes down to 61 degrees and it you like it icy & chilly like Alaska, than this is definitely right up your alley! It comes with a remote control and it has really helped and made a significant difference during this dreadful heatwave! You definitely get what you pay for, so if you are looking for your dream AC unit, look no further, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Another positive side of this AC, the quality of air. It's fresh, no smell of working AC, and easy to cling removable filter. The size was scary... but when it was installed, its looks clean, simple and modern. We love the new TCL AC! Highly recommend. Requires 2 people to install the unit.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TCL window air conditioner is ice cold and does a great job as far as cooling down a 450 square ft space. It is quiet as a fan on low. Putting in the the window was a breeze. I did give it 4 stars tho because, I was unable to connect it to the app. I followed all the directions and tried multiple times, with no luck sadly. I have a lot of my home appliances linked to my alexa and, unfortunately was not able to with this window unit. It does a great job cooling tho and is ice cold so, that's a big win. I love that it comes with a remote and, it shows the temperature digitally on the the face of the unit.
