72" Carson 5 Shelf Bookcase - Threshold™

LOVE this bookcase. Took my daughter and I about 2 hours to assemble. I also use a little wood glue when assembling furniture which makes it even more durable. Very solid and looks great in any room. Have purchased this line before in black, about 10 years earlierand that bookcase is still holding up beautifully with minimal scratching. I recommend this line.

for 180$ the shelf is pretty cheap feeling, the back panel is held together with duct tape, there weren't enough pre drilled screw holes to even hold fhe back panel

I bought this the rustic theme matches my wine cabinet, and it’s great. I intend to get a second, it’s sturdy true to photo and I’ve never had any issues.

Like a lot of the reviewers have mentioned it looked really nice on the pictures online but it was a cheaper quality through the store. I definitely don’t remember paying this much for a previous bookshelf I had bought from target in 2017. It also didn’t come with the pre-drilled holes that the back panel was supposed to attach to and I made sure to attach everything correctly. I’m realizing that target slowly is declining in their quality of products and it’s made me want to shop for home goods less.

No shipping damage, material is thicker than expected, instructions were easy to follow, it looks fantastic. It is somewhat wobbly, however it comes with a wall anchor and with it in it barely budges. Very satisfied.

Do not order this item, I received this broken then ordered a replacement that also became broken! then was hung up on by the customer service agent who expected me to take a 30% of discount to keep a broken item!!! now have been waiting four days and still do not have a book shelf!

The bookshelf is large enough to hold a sizeable collection of books and collectables. The assembly directions are clear and complete, and all parts needed are supplied.

These are both functional and decorative. They are sturdy, great for displaying home decor items, and the price was right compared to similar wall units I shopped for. They do not look cheap, and I am happy with them. I am a female and was able to put one together myself. I had help because there were so many, and it would have take me too much time and energy. However, they are easy to put together an you can do one in about an hour. They were shipped to my home undamaged and arrived within a week.

Love this bookshelf, need to get more for sure!

The box arrived damaged. And, all hardware was missing.

So cheaply made for the price! The one side panel was cracked and it was so flimsy. Needless to say I returned and will not be exchanging it for a different one.

It’s ok, not as nice as I expected

attractive bookshelves but poor quality, the best thing about these bookshelves is that my husband and I are finally convinced it’s time to start building our own furniture if we can’t find an antique piece we like.

This was the third Carson bookcase we have purchased and it will be the last! The quality of this one is so far below that of the first one we puchased a few years ago. The assembly/instructions were the same for all three bookcases, but the pre-drilled holes in this third one were poorly done and many of the screws went in crooked/didn't fit. Had to do a lot of "jiggling" to get the top panel to fit. There were no pre-drilled holes for the back panel, but the panel was so narrow that there was no way to screw it into the sides without splitting the side rail (another 1/4" on either side would have made a big difference). The two halves of the back didn't meet in the center/there was a gap and were held together with thin plastic tape and there was a crack across the corner. While all three have been veneered, the quality of the walnut veneer was the worse and looks very cheap compared to the other two. Would have returned, but there was no other option that would have fit the space and/or the other Carson bookcases.

I have ordered several times and have yet to get one that isn’t damaged upon arrival.

The item had a crack in the wood.

Item came with no instructions and no back piece. Shelves were scratched and foam liner made a huge mess. I returned the item and did not buy another. I would not recommend.

i really love this bookcase. the assembly wasn't bad at all. we used a drill for the 45 screw part. but besides that it was fine. it's a sturdy piece

This is flimsy and not worth price. I’ve bought better furniture items for cheaper elsewhere. I’m really disappointed in the quality overall.
