Vanicream Facial Moisturizer SPF 30 Zinc Oxide Mineral Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin - Unscented - 2.5oz

I have very sensitive skin and year after year no matter which facial sunscreen I try, I always wind up with breakouts. The Laroche Posey Liquid Tinted Mineral sunscreen was great…The first thing I had found in years… but after a full year of using, it started irritating me, and lo and behold, breaking out in the same places that all other sunscreens have made me break out in the past. Recommended by a friend, I decided to try Vanicream. This has been the most moisturizing, effective sunscreen I have ever used. Light on the skin, no scent, no residue or greasiness. As someone who admittedly lays in the sun a lot, it also gives you the most even, healthy looking tan. I’ve been using for 2 years now and never a breakout or skin irritation. Amazing product!

I like the moisture it offers for my dry skin along with zinc oxide for sunscreen. I use this every morning.

The best sunscreen for dry , sensitive skin! My skin is super dry but I still get pimples. I'm allergic to everything so it took me a very, VERY long time to find a sunscreen with the cleanest Ingredients. If you actually go through the ingredients, they are exactly what I was looking for.

The texture is nice and creamy but it leaves a white cast on my asian skin. Would not recommend.

Despite the iffy reviews I took a chance on this since I’m pretty pale and it actually worked for me. I have combination skin and I’m acne-prone so I tend to favor mineral sunscreens. Since I’m pretty pale it didn’t leave too bad of white cast on me. Sometimes I mix it with my NARS tinted moisturizer to give me more color.

Great for sensitive skin and very moisturizing. Like most sunscreens, you have to rub it in. I’m not sure why people complain about white casts when they haven’t even rubbed it in to absorb in skin. 49- great for me!

The first and only time I applied this Vanicream, it glided on the skin. I did not notice anything else until an hour or so later. My eyes starting burning and tearing up. So, I had to wash it off my face because I was very sensitive to this cream. I am returning it.

Leaves a strong white cast and is greasy at first, but it has not aggravated my skin at all. The white cast and oiliness wear away after 1-2 hours, however, if you attempt to apply makeup right after putting this on, it does pill. Applying more sparingly minimizes this all but doesn't fully take it away. It's fine but I'll try something else when I run out.

Serious skin reaction. VERY UNIMPRESSED. I have no idea what is in this, but holy Hannah, my skin is a nightmare because of it.

Very greasy and leaves a white cast. It will absorb a little if I give it time but still makes me shiny. Doesn’t irritate my skin though.

I have normal skin that is prone to hyperpigmentation, so SPF is a must. But I’m also prone to perioral dermatitis, which makes SPF difficult. Occlusion really triggers my PD, so I have to be careful not to use overly heavy products. This SPF unfortunately meets that description. It’s a very rich cream. Less than a dime sized amount covers my entire face (which isn’t enough SPF) and feels like Vaseline. It takes a good 20-30 minutes to fully absorb, and after that I’m left with the usual gritty, chalky mineral sunscreen feeling. So the heaviness doesn’t even mitigate that, which makes me wonder what purpose the heaviness serves. I like this brand and I appreciate that their products are formulated for sensitive skin, but if you struggle with PD, have oily skin, live in a hot humid climate, intend to apply other products (serums, etc.) under it, or simply don’t like the feel of very heavy creams on your skin - this product will not be for you. It’s just too thick. If you have very dry skin and don’t plan to apply products underneath, you might enjoy it. Vanicream makes an SPF 50 mineral sunscreen without the additional skincare ingredients this one has, but it is just as thick and is extra gritty. I don’t recommend that one, either.

I wanted to like this so badly because I love the Vanicream brand, but it made my eyes bloodshot and burn until I washed it off. Honestly I loved the formula, no pilling or dryness. It would be perfect if not for the obvious faults.

very greasy feeling, and a huge white cast (im really tan) the white cast goes away if you really work it on BUT i went on a run and my face was so white!

This sunscreen is great for sensitive skin, I felt as though it was very heavy though. After I put it on I look really oily and greasy. I use sunscreen everyday and if I work out in this sunscreen it starts running and stings my eyes and makes my eyebrows look like jack frost lol.

I really like the sunscreen/moisturizer combo. Because of having oily, acne-prone skin, I try not to put too many products on my face. The only downside is that this seems to just make my face appear greasy/wet looking. If you can get past that, I think it’s pretty good!
