    It is too greasy and shiny

    I use the daily vanicream moisturizer and really like it so I tried the one with zinc sunscreen in it. I was disappointed that it is overly greasy and shiny especially for using on your face. I don't know why this one is and the regular moisturizer is not? Please change your formula.

    Too white!!

    gave 3 stars because im using 2 other vanicream products and I think they're a great brand overall as I have sensitive skin and its been going well. however I cant do this sunscreen. I had to use a ton of primer and makeup to try to cover all the white and this was only from one small dollop. I took a pic with and without flash to show just how white and greasy it still is after 10 minutes.

    Good replacement for Native

    I’ve been using the Native moisturizing facial sunscreen for years but when it was discontinued I spent weeks looking for a replacement. This is the best I’ve found. It is a little stickier and thicker but I’ve been very happy with it overall. My skin feels moisturized and protected without irritation. It’s my new daily face sunscreen.

    I really love vanicream products but sadly this one just isn’t it for me. It’s very greasy, which normally doesn’t bother me much but I think because of that it gets in/around my eyes really easily if I sweat even the smallest amount and it burns so much! I’ve never had that issue before with other facial sunscreens so I’m pretty disappointed.

    Moisturizing but oily finish

    I bought this as I was trying to stick to mineral sunscreens during pregnancy. While it is extremely moisturizing, it is very greasy and leaves a very white cast. It takes at least 10 min to appear less greasy which is a bit of a pain. I feel the need to layer makeup on top for it to appear less shiny. Overall would only recommend to someone who can’t tolerate chemical sunscreens. The bubble mineral sunscreen was more cosmetically elegant.

    Favorite sunscreen

    This is the only facial sunscreen I’ve tried that has not broken me out. I purchased 4 just in case they go out of stock again. No white cast, and never burn. Slight sunscreen smell when it’s first applied, but not overpowering. Works great under makeup or alone.

    Not for my sensitive skin

    This sent my eczema around my mouth into the worst flare up I’ve had all year. I also kept it far from my eyes and wasn’t sweating, and it still managed to sting my eyes. I just had to leave work early so I could come home to rinse this off and try to manage my burning lips. It’s also very greasy.

    the BEST for ultra sensitive skin with rosacea

    i have type 1 & type 2 rosacea and this is the only spf i can use actually makes my skin feel and look calmer than if i didn't wear it. wish it was easier to find!! there is a whitecast also.

    My holy grail!!! Love it!!!

    My face loves this sunscreen and can't tolerate any other. I have rosacea, and this sunscreen even helps calm down my skin after applying it. I'm also acne-prone, and it doesn't break me out. I've tried many sunscreens, and the others i've tried don't compare to this one. Other sunscreens make my skin red, or break me out, or both. This one calms my skin and doesn't break me out. I love it; I've been using it for around 2-3 years now. Cons: White cast that isn't really noticeable on me may be more noticeable for other skin tones, but that's because of the zinc oxide percentage, which I wouldn't change anything because my skin loves it. It can be a bit greasy/dewy, but I just don't need moisturizer in the morning with this which is great.
