Good if you enjoy plastic smell in the air

As other reviewers have posted here, the unit base gets extremely hot and the beautiful mist that is formed has a disgusting plastic smell. The whole room fills with this smell if plastic. I tried running it for three days, 24/7 and that did not help. I finally put the base, lower container, oil cup, and even the water container in the dishwasher on high heat to see if that would help remove the plastic smell. It did help a little, but there is still a plastic smell that must be coming from the main heating unit. So, if the distributor or manufacturer of this product is reading these reviews, please take note!

This is not what we'd expect from this product. Be advised, only the essential oil cup, water tray and heating element cover are top rack dishwasher safe. At first it worked great, but then it just didn’t seem to be diffusing the oils well. It great if you don’t use oils.

This humidifier seems well made, but it produces a very strong plastic type smell that was only marginally better after running it (outside) for a few tanks of water). If the smell issue could be addressed, it would be a good humidifier.

Good Humidifier, but....

This was my first time buying a warm mist style of humidifier, and I really do like the performance. My biggest gripe is that there is always standing water in the machine after you pick up the water tank, and it drips. A small flaw, but none of my other humidifiers in the past have that problem. I do enjoy that it does not need a filter, but you should use filtered water for the machine to keep it clean longer. I have not needed to use descaling solution in mine yet as it is so new. I think the price is a little up there for any humidifier, so nothing personal against Honeywell, but they all should be a little cheaper for what you're getting. A lot of people will mention the noise of "boiling water", which I would say is accurate, but mine doesn't seem to be that loud, and if anything, is more like a white noise machine. With more use, I have noticed even the water gurgling into the machine to be more quiet than the first couple weeks. I like the option to put an essential oil of choice into the cup on top, but I wish it was able to be added to the machine vs just vaporizing from the steam.... kind of.

I thought this was great until I went to clean it a week after using it. It’s disgusting inside. Beyond gross. I hope Target will let me return it. I threw away the box when it first came in. Also I ordered black and they sent me white.

I just bought it and the mist has an overpowering plastic smell. It’s too strong. I tried adding essential oil but it doesn’t help much. Unfortunately, I have to return it. Would not recommend.
