If “peaceful humidity” is what you’re after, this is… not that. Picture an industrial vacuum humming beside your bed, complete with a bright green display shining directly at your face. Every 20 minutes it adds a dramatic gurgle just to remind you it’s still working hard (at keeping you awake) The lavender vapor pods smell great, but you'll wake up too dried out to appreciate them. Not the soothing experience I hoped for.

Works but not worth it

It works but the filter breaks down fast and you can’t clean it. When I went to buy a new filter, my store didn’t carry them. I wouldn’t recommend this humidifier.

Noisy

It’s pretty much great but that awful noise of gigantic air bubbles is a kills it for me. I want or need the least noise as possible in order to reach rem sleep and stay there for a bit longer.

Bright power light, loud, received used unit.

I agree with other users that this has an unsettling gurgle sound every time the water level drops compared to other humidifiers we've had that have a distinct bubbling sound. When I first heard it I thought it was my dog about to toss his cookies on the rug. I also believe I received a used unit. It had finger prints on the bottom of the tank and dirt particles in the base. The LED power light is quite bright and illuminates the entire dial green when the room is dark. The humidity helped me sleep through the night without coughing, however I would not purchase this again.

Decent Machine

Very good humidifier! I used it for my baby who was frequently waking up at night because of his congestion but ever since we started using this, he’s had a MUCH better sleep! I’m only giving it a 4 star though since there’s room for improvement. It is quite noisy but I usually turn it on before I get my son in bed so that way when it’s time for sleep, the room is all set and I can just let the machine ride on the lowest setting so that you can’t hear it the rest of the night. I’d also highly recommend using distilled water, even if it says you could use tap.

Great, until it's not. :-(

Worked really well for about 13 months, and then it started leaking water out of one of the feet - which are actually holes capped with rubber inserts (that are obviously not water-tight). I think that as the filter absorbs water, it starts over-filling the shallow dish it sits inside of and forces water out over the edge and into the main body of the unit. I also agree with other reviewers that it can be really loud when kits running on the high setting and it does make a loud ‘BLURP’ every so often. Thankfully, we kept it on the low setting and our daughter is a sound sleeper so the noise didn’t cause us issues. Being that it was somewhat inexpensive, I’m not extremely upset about it failing after just over a year, but I’m definitely quite disappointed as I do not want to buy a brand-new humidifier every cold season. Our daughter really needs this for help with comfortable breathing overnight when she’s sick. The description says it comes with a 3-year warranty, which I guess that I now get to spend extra time investigating and try to either get a refund or replacement from Vicks. Exactly what a busy mom needs! NOT! If I can’t get a replacement, I’m going to have to try and find another unit that will work with the same filter and vapor pads we still have on hand. 🤷🏼♀️ If you don’t want to deal with similar issues after a while, I suggest investing in something more expensive, sadly. 😞

Gushes water. Completely unusable.

First, it appears I was sold a previously owned humidifier. I'm guessing the previous owner had the same problem I had. Second, I followed all of the directions and as I carried the humidifier to my daughter's room, it started gushing water all over the floor. The design allows water to spill everywhere which seems very unsafe for something you plug in.

Not for overnight

So loud in operation and the gurgle to get more water from the tank wakes me up. There is a filter which I like but overall would not recommend this product for overnight. Maybe during the day but the ambient light is bright and the humidifier is very loud overall.

Loud but gets the job don

I've always been a fan of Vicks products. I had to.replace the one I've been using for years cause UT suddenly stopped working. I've been using this invisible cool mist humidifier for 4 days now and OMG You can feel the fresh air the minute you walk into my room. My infant and toddler have been sick for a week and the first night was cruel. I ran to Target to get this humidifier. It's a game changer! It's a little loud, more like a humming sound, but it's kinda relaxing if you're ok with white noise. The only thing I dislike is the gulping sound(sounds like Chubacca gulping water every 5-10mnts). It's really annoying because it makes me jump every time lol I'll never get used to that. I don't have much experience with the filter(1st time using one with filters) but I'm happy qith my purchase.

Love it for the price is a yes for me.

So I actually have had this humidifier for years my daughter is 6 and I believe I bought it when she was a year old and it's still going strong. ! I came on here to get another one for our sons room and was looking for a smaller one however if you buy products based on reviews like I do sometimes then you may be misled and miss out on a good product! After looking around I said let me see what everyone else has to say about this humidifier and I was surprised to see so many bad reviews! One thing I will say is sometimes the bottom does have a bit of water in it (normally happens when it sits too long with the reservoir full) and if you don't know and go to pick it up aggressively, Yeah it will spill other than that I've had zero issues with leakage. It is loud my kids have found it comforting with the sound kind like a white nosie for them. So if you want something absolutely quite then this product probably isn't for you. I have used the Vicks stick you can buy separately it's personally for me great.

Try another humidifier option

This machine is very loud! I can’t say I noticed a difference in the humidity level that it puts into the room. Very disappointed, should’ve returned it when I could’ve
