Perfect for added comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is been such a game changer especially now in the cooler months that our family has been under the weather. We noticed instant relief when using this, the vapo sticks are so easy to use and are so fresh. It’s easy to clean and maintain compared to other machines. The filter just needs to be flipped and rinsed every use.

The damp filter harbors mildew.
The filter went sour after a few days. The instructions say to change the internal filter after 30-60 days. After only 3, I opened the humidifier to add more water. The filter had started to turn colors and reeked. It smelled sour like when you leave damp towels in the dryer and they don’t dry all the way. The smell of sour mildew filled the room. By the instructions, you’re supposed to dampen the filter and use the device while the filter is wet inside. The only way to prevent it from molding, is to take out the filter every morning. That is not in the instructions. Users should be aware of that. If you’re sick, you’re not going to remember or feel like getting up and dealing with this filter every time you use the device. I don’t feel that it is safe to breathe air run through a mildew laced filter after just a few days or even hours.

Not quiet, gurgles
It makes a jarring weird suction-gurgle noise about every 10-15 minutes which is unpleasant when you’re trying to fall asleep.

Quiet and clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This humidifier is great to have during cold season! It filters minerals from the water for cleaner moisture and is really soothing for congestion. The tank is easy to fill and clean and is compact enough for my bedside table. It is very quiet and can run up to 24 hours!

leaks
would not stop leaking, not just a little, a giant puddle if I didnt notice it in time. I even read the manual front to back, it was not user error.

Does the Job but at a Cost
Does it work to blow cool air? Yes. But it is very loud. Like I can hear it through my ear plugs loud. And who needs to have a led light as bright as the sun on the humidifier? It was so bright electric tape didn’t work to cover it. We had to pop the dial and paint the light with black nail polish and use electric tape to cover the light. If I’m using a humidifier I’m sick. I need rest and a dark quiet room, not a megaphone wind machine with a spot light. Also, the vape pads only last 8 hours. Again, I’m sick. I’m resting longer than 8 hours. Seems like they could last longer too. I will say the water tank once full lasts for days and that’s wonderful.

Worked well when I used it last winter. This winter, it has leaked a half dozen times and I can't figure out why. I'm sick of cleaning up puddles of water in my bedroom so I've given up on it. I have a slightly more expensive Vicks in another bedroom that I bought elsewhere that has never leaked on me, so I really don't think this is a "me" problem.

Leaks like crazy!
I've had two of these now and both of them started leaking water out the back feet if the machine after about a year. Not just a little water, either, like an unstoppable waterfall that went everywhere as I frantically carried it from the bedroom to the bathroom sink. Even when it was working, though, it only made a minor difference in the humidity level of our smallish bedroom. Would not recommend.

Best humidifier
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a evaporative humidifier meaning that it has invisible moisture and you cant see the mist. I love it because it is so easy to carry and fill the water in it. You should use cold water only for the tank. It has a filter and a tray to use the vicks scent pads if needed. I am using it without them for now and i am impressed with this brand. It is super easy to clean and it is self regulated it adjusts the moisture level by sensing how much humidity is required in the air.

This is simple to use and put together. You can smell the Vicks pad almost immediately. It adds a cooling mist to the air that helps your quality of breathing while you're sick. It also helps tremendously with sinus issues due to allergies. I highly recommend that everyone get one of these for future illnesses.

Effective moisture

What is it really doing?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Filtered Cool Moisture Humidifier by Vicks releases an invisible cool mist to help relieve dry indoor air. I’m not sure I have noticed much difference in my home. I still don’t fully understand what its purpose is. It’s easy to set up, runs quietly on low but is very loud on the second setting. The air it pushes out is also very very cold. I will not use this in the winter. Will be nice in the summer when cool air is welcome.

Helps a lot in the winter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This humidifier is perfect for winter when the indoor air is warm but dry and for when sick. I like to keep my room pretty warm with my space heater and I often have to give it a rest, not because the room is too hot but because it's too dry. This humidifier solves that problem and keeps the air comfortable without feeling humid. You can't see the vapor, and I actually like that about it, it's casually just doing is job. It's also very easy to clean and I haven't had any mold issues

Effective, more comfortable breathing at home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I both suffer chronic allergies and asthma with our symptoms worsening during the Fall and Winter months as our climate becomes especially dry and we have found using this Vicks Filtered Cool Moisture Humidifier, which we received complimentary for product trial, to be extremely helpful in comforting and decreasing our dry coughs, irritated throats, and dry nasal passages. This humidifier is effective, simple to use, and convenient. I love that it can run it for a full 8 hours on a single tank of water and I don’t have to worry about getting out of bed to fill the tank during the night. Plus, the tank has a wide opening for easy, mess free filling. Unlike my old device, this unit runs quietly and cleanly. I can hear the fan gently humming as the humidifier is on but, this is not a loud noise and it does not disturb our sleep. I can place this humidifier where needed without worrying about excessive water or wetness, it doesn’t spray out large drops of water or spurt out water like many other devices do. I truly appreciate the filter system, we have hard water and I am happy to know that the filter system captures minerals and impurities from the water before evaporating moisture into our dry air humidifying it. We also like having the option to use Vicks VapoPads, they are easy to insert at the front panel of this humidifier and they add a menthol and eucalyptus vapor we find effective at helping to reduce our nasal and sinus congestion. An excellent solution for effectively adding humidity into rooms and it’s made by Vicks, a brand I’ve been trusting for years to bring me convenient and innovative respiratory solutions. I definitely recommend Vicks Filtered Cool Mist Humidifier as it is effectively providing us more comfortable breathing at home!

Great for Congestion but needs a Sensor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using it during some recent cold days, and overall, I like it. The design isn’t the most stylish, but it gets the job done. We use purified water so the filter lasts longer. The menthol tablets for congestion and sinus relief feel so nice. It smells fresh and soothing, which is perfect when you’re feeling under the weather. We mostly use it at night, and it helps a lot. The main reason I gave it 4 stars is because it doesn’t have a sensor to automatically turn off when the water runs out. I left it on overnight once, and the filter got burned after the water ran dry. Adding that feature would be a great improvement. The mist isn’t visible and the airflow feels more like a gentle fan. The air only blows in one direction to the side, and you can’t adjust it, so placement matters. In general, the design isn’t perfect, but it works well especially for congestion relief with the menthol tablets.
