Micellar waters contain micelles—tiny oil‑like molecules suspended in water—that capture and lift makeup and impurities; many are sold as no‑rinse liquids. Bi‑phase micellar formulas separate into two layers (oil and water) and must be shaken to mix before use; they’re especially useful for removing waterproof or long‑wear eye and lip makeup. To use: saturate a cotton pad, hold it gently over closed eyes for a few seconds if removing eye makeup, then wipe softly; many micellar waters don’t require rinsing afterward.
