Annie Selke - Dash & Albert Herringbone Dove Grey Handwoven Cotton Rug, Runner 2.5x8, Dove Grey

This is a nice quality rug. The color, however is not Sweedish Blue as ordered and as pictured. The color is more Sage (green). I would have returned the item if I had more time to order a different rug. There are no blue items in the descriptions.

bought 2 of these for guest bathrooms and love the color and feel of these rugs. Easy to clean too.

Pattern is perfect and as described.

We are really disappointed by the durability and quality of the rug. On its face, it is absolutely beautiful and very comfortable underfoot. Unfortunately it has not held up at all in the 4-5 months that we’ve owned it. The threads are constantly pulling/snagging, at any given moment there are at least a dozen sticking out, requiring careful use of a snagging tool to re-insert. That effort feels futile, as a new one (or two) always springs up. It also looks very worn down in the areas where we have (gently) cleaned it with (gentle) soap and water. This has been in our living room, with a dog and two very young kids. Not a low traffic area, but also not an entryway. We were really excited to “upgrade” to a natural, nice rug after always spending money on cheaper ones that didn’t last. We are deeply disappointed in how it has turned out. I wouldn’t recommend the investment.

disappointed no more! this particular rug was not the right choice for my stairs but to all of you Review Readers out there, rest assured, this is a company with exceptionally responsive customer service and regardless of what you select, you are in the best of hands here. What a delight to work with a company that not only creates beautiful things but also has knowledgeable people and stands behind its products.

I have always loved my Dash and Albert rugs, but ordered this 8x10 for my son's bedroom and noticed pulls within a few days. Then within the first vacuum (brush lifted) it snagged so incredibly easily I had to stop. I am bummed since the care details say "Regular vacuuming and the occasional gentle shake should keep your rug in shipshape condition." I'll continue to order, but will be more mindful of material/care/etc. next time.

After much deliberation, I purchased the Herringbone Dove Grey Woven Cotton rug -- 2/2.5' x 12' for our stairs and 2/2.5' x 8' for the hallway. The color is ideal and just as lovely as I had hoped. However, and this is a huge 'however': 1) in spite of being billed as "durable" and intended for "high-traffic" and "well-used family spaces like hallways and stairs..." it is not appropriate for stairs at ALL! Less than an hour after the installation was complete there were already pulled threads - something that is repairable for a rug but not once fully installed on stairs. And now 2 weeks later I am less than optimistic about the hallway application. These rugs are indeed soft but soft to the point of being fragile. It appears to my uneducated eye that the diagonal weave that creates the herringbone design is also what makes it more fragile and susceptible to snags. And do NOT get this rug if you have a dog! 2) the rugs are noted as being 2.5' wide and my 8' runners were indeed that. Unfortunately, the 12' runners instead of being 30", were 31" and 31.5"respectively. In short, the rugs are aesthetically beautiful initially (ie straight out of the package) and very soft, but a very pricey choice for something that will need to be replaced within the year. Furthermore, if you choose this rug be aware that while the rug in the photo appears to have a solid Dove Grey edge, mine did not. I think my biggest mistake was trusting the product details given by the maker and not giving more weight to the reviews. Because I've had good luck with D&A previously I honestly thought the reviewers were just being finicky but sadly, I was very wrong.

I bought this rug specifically because the product notes said it was durable and would be good for high-traffic areas. While it's beautiful, it's unfortunately not durable enough to stand up to moderate wear underneath my kitchen table. The weave is way too delicate for that and is already showing numerous lumpy pulls after just a month of being on the floor. I'm disappointed because I have other indoor/outdoor rugs from D&A that have stood the test of time! This one sorely disappoints.

I love the look of it! I will say I'm experiencing the same thing other people are, pretty quickly it started to get pulls. I have to be really careful when I vacuum it. But I don't think the pulls are that noticeable and it still looks great in my low traffic more formal living room. For the price, its exactly what I expected. I think if you are worried about it holding up, you have to splurge on the indoor/outdoor version!

I love the look of this rug, and have loved all of my other Dash & Albert rugs. The grey is a great neutral. However this one continues to pop up with new pulls all the time. It is in a very low traffic area, my bedroom. Very disappointing!

High quality and easy to clean! My husband dropped a bowl of tomato sauce that splattered onto this rug and it cleaned up with just a wet sponge! Will be ordering more Dash and Albert rugs!

I previously bought an indoor/outdoor rug for my front hallway from Dash and Albert and absolutely loved it. When I was putting together my son's nursery last year, I knew I wanted to buy from this company again, but wanted a softer rug for the baby's room. I settled on investing in a 6x9 Dove Gray Herringbone Rug and was so pleased when I got it! It was soft, a beautiful gray color and perfect for the room. I was so disappointed when almost immediately the rug started getting pulls - I was really horrified and have been on a mission to be as careful as possible (trying to shake the rug out instead of vacuum it, keeping the dog out of the room, etc), over the past year, but really to no avail. The rug is now covered in pulls and I'm so disappointed!

This rug is a lovely soft gray. It looks very nice in my family room entry way. I am very happy with how luxurious it looks.
