Airdoctor 1000
I can’t really tell the difference, but from the moment it first turned on it stayed blue so maybe my air quality wasn’t very bad. I will say it would be much more convenient if this unit had a handle. Moving it out from the wall, moving to another room and just initial set up seems it could be easily engineered to have a flush handle to pull up when moving.

Plastic Smell
This was my 4th Air Doctor purchase and it has a very strong plastic smell it emits when its running. It took over a week for it to go away, I had to run it and open the window every once in a while to get the smell out (and yes the plastic packaging on the filters were removed before turning it on!). I haven't had this issue with my past Air Doctor purchases so they probably recently changed manufacturers

Incredible air cleaner!
I purchased 3 of these 1000 AirDoctor cleaners for our bedrooms plus an AirDoctor 4000 unit for the living room and kitchen/dining room area! I can’t believe the incredible difference these have made in our house! The air is so clean and fresh now!! We have a small house and it just felt stuffy and stale, especially now in the winter when all the windows are closed. We live in MN so it’s way too cold to open windows so this is the perfect way for us to enjoy refreshing clean air. I love these AirDoctor cleaners!

Dust Remover ???
I purchased ‘ 3 ‘ Air Doctor purifiers for our apartment, 1000 - 4000 -5500. Two for bedrooms one for living / dining / kitchen area. Please advise, the master bedroom has dust on the furniture, we have the 4000 in this room, I set it at speed 2 during the day, should it be higher. ? What can be done, if anything. ? Michael Weisman

Excellent product.
I needed to clean the air in two rooms prior to my surgery. I was very pleased with the quick setup of both air cleaners. Thank you so much.

Many problems
I have many AirDoctors that are reliable, but this redesign of the small one. has issues. The first one shorted out in the first 20 minutes. . The replacement was 40 db loud. This was due to a redesign of the fan placement. The third exchange also was a problem because they sent THREE replacements instead of one. Was great but now has issues. Stephanie Taylor

Louder than expected
Nice features and looks nice in the room, but louder than similarly sized HEPA air filters.

Awesome!
So happy that my doctor recommended this. We had a strange smell in our house ever since we moved in. We've done professional mold testing, used UV lights, other air purifiers, replaced the A/C, ducts, etc but we couldn't get rid of the smell. We test for mold every 6 months and there is not an unhealthy level of mold (actually hardly any at all and no black, etc mold). I was thinking we might have to move. Finally, we tried the Air Doctor. I'm so relieved that the smell is finally gone. . . after 10 years. We put the 3500 in our living room/kitchen area and the smaller one in our bedroom. In the future, I'll put them in the other bedrooms but for now, this works great. The smell is gone in the entire house, including the bedrooms we don't have them in.

Top-notch air purification
I’ve been an Air Doctor owner for several years. Started with the 3500 in our main living space but now own each model and have them placed through our entire home. We live on a dirt road, have pets, and three children. The peace of mind of clean indoor air is priceless!

Greatful
I’m so glad to have found Natalie Zimas code so I could purchase this air Doctor for my studio. Working with volatile compounds has worried me for some time with reguards to my breathing them in. I feel a lot better knowing this little guy has me well covered :)

Best Air Purifier
I purchased a second AirDoctor after being in my small one-bedroom apartment for 1 1/2 years. I have had an AirDoctor 3500 for many years which I used in my bedroom of my townhome. I thought that would be enough for my small apartment. I have had lots of stress on my body due to chemical sensitivities, more so since moving to the apartment. It was suggested by my Functional Health doctor that I add another AirDoctor to my apartment. The AirDoctor 1000 is now in my bedroom. My symptoms have decreased a lot since using it. I see multiple times during the day and night that it is working very hard to clean the air. The yellow and red circle light goes on very often. I am very happy with both of my AirDoctors.

Worthy investment
A AirDoctor model with a battery backup would be great! We don't know how long the power outage was before we got home to find clocks, etc. needed reset. But the machine is quiet, easy to read & operate, & the dimmer switch is great. Sometimes I leave the soft blue LED light on as a gentle nite light. Our sneezing is drastically cut down, & the room mustiness has decreased as well.

Louder than the others
I love my air doctors and decided to try this new smaller one for kids’ bedrooms but it is noticeably louder than the others.

No handles
It is quiet and puts out cooler air, which is nice during Spring/Fall when the central AC/heat does not come on too often! It definitely gets rid of odors, esp in closets and it is easier to breathe when it is running! This would be a perfect air purifier if it had handles or notches for easy moving, but I literally have to pick the whole thing up, with one habd holding bottom because it's slippery.

No difference
I purchased two units, and don’t notice much of a difference at all. My daughter calls it an expensive fan.

Noisy
I have purchased a whole fleet of Air Doctors for my home. I have MCS/CI/TILT after a mold issue in my home and require immaculately clean air. I trust Air Doctor. Originally I bought the 5500 and a 3500 and loved them, although my family, who are sensitive to noise, were only happy with them on low settings - I think they are the quietest air purifiers I have owned (I’ve tried three other popular brands). When I expanded further, I bought a couple more 3500s and two of these 1000s to put in bedrooms, mostly because they take up less space, but also because I thought they would be quieter for my family members. (I’m not sure if there’s decibel ratings online. If so, I did not check that out. Oops!) Sadly, the 1000s are more noisy than the 3500 or 5500. I don’t understand how this could be. Both of my 1000 units are the same, which makes me think it’s not a defect. And of course, because I have such a favorable view of Air Doctor, I threw the boxes away, assuming I would love these, when really I want to return them. To be fair, your average person may be OK with the noise. But if you have any noise sensitivity at all, I would recommend the 3500.

Filters well and sleek design but very noisy
I wanted to give this filter 5 stars. I own four other air doctor units in my home. I wanted one for my small bedroom. I regret not getting the slightly larger AirDoctor unit above this one. This one is very loud. I thought I could get past it b/c I'm used to air purifier noise but this one is really noisy. I don't recommend if you use it for a bedroom. I trust all the AirDoctor filters to filter well and protect my home, I'm just disappointed with the machine noise.
