The area to fit the food in comes with a vented tray you can put inside or use with it out. It can literally go from making a full dinner for one or two people to cooking a cake as well! The cord is long enough to kobe around the kitchen and the smell while cooking is like an ovens aroma. It closes totally up and is safe for use with kids around and cant splatter grase or the like. All in all, I recommend this to anyone looking for a single person for fryer that you dont want to take up a lot of room, but it works better than most the rest. Def recommend to others.
