Q: Can I use without contacts to soothe dry eye?
A: The Target staff support answer is just being needlessly overcautious. Let me put it to you this way... the very first sentence on the front of the box states: "works while you wear your lenses". This is additionally confirmed on the side box details. In other words, the drops are intended to be put directly into your eye! So, obviously, they are safe to be used on your eyes. If they weren't, they would state they are only to be applied to the contacts outside of your eyes. Lastly, I can personally attest to all of us in my home using these without contacts to soothe dry eye and it has worked fine for that purpose and none of us have experienced any problems.
submitted byThe - 4 years agoA: First of all, these eye drops are soooo hard to squeeze out of the bottle, and when you finally get a drop, it burns like $h%t. Who wants that?
submitted bySuzieQ - 25 days agoA: Hi iasimov - Thanks for asking. The Lubricating and Rewetting Eye Drops is intended for use with soft contact lenses and should not be used without contact lenses. We hope this helps! - Taylor
