Q: Can I use without contacts to soothe dry eye?

  • A: The Target staff support answer is just being needlessly overcautious. Let me put it to you this way... the very first sentence on the front of the box states: "works while you wear your lenses". This is additionally confirmed on the side box details. In other words, the drops are intended to be put directly into your eye! So, obviously, they are safe to be used on your eyes. If they weren't, they would state they are only to be applied to the contacts outside of your eyes. Lastly, I can personally attest to all of us in my home using these without contacts to soothe dry eye and it has worked fine for that purpose and none of us have experienced any problems.

  • A: Hi Heather, Taken from the packaging. This solution contains poly, boric acid, potassium cholride, sodium borate and sodium chloride. Preserved with edetate disodium 0.1% and hexadionic acid 0.1%. Hope that helps!

I'm not sure how effective they are with moisturizing contact lenses. I'm sure it's better than nothing. Secondly, it caused the skin under my eyes to dry and flake, after some of the drops ran out my eyes. I do have sensitive skin, however.

Shrinkflation at it's best - not even 1/3 of an oz! Do better. Be honest and raise the price if it costs more to make. Or are you being stingy and it costs the same but you want to make more money so you make the bottles almost half as small? This is a plastic waste disgrace as well. Whoever is still selling this in a 1 oz bottle gets my money.

Cheap and Safe

Significantly cheaper than name brands built for contact wearers and was not forced to be recalled during any of the sweeping eye drop recalls in 2023 and 2024 that blinded some and even killed a few.

I have no idea if this is a good product. Firstly, its shrink wrapped so tightly as if it’s protecting Fort Knox. I had to use a skewer to rip it open. It would be helpful if there was a tab to grab onto to tear the wrapper off. Secondly, the cap is screwed on so tightly I am unable to budge it. The the cap is so small and has textured lines in it. It ripped my skin when I tried to open it, but it didn’t budge. DO BETTER
