Description
Floortex's Advantagemat's help make your desk work space more ergonomic, by taking strain off of your legs and back, this is done by providing an easy-glide surface. We recommend leaving this product in a warm environment for up to 72 hours and placing heavy objects, such as books, on the corners of the mat. Chair Mat?
The mat came in a rolled up cardboard box. It was difficult to unroll and 2 days later still will not lay flat? How long does that take?

There are a couple of things that we can recommend to flatten PVC chair mats; we suggest placing weights (i.e. heavy books or boxes) on the edges of the mat and leaving the mat in a warm environment for up to 72 hours. Not great. Deforms and creates low spots where the wheels of your chair sits only after a few minutes.
Deforms where the chair is after only a few minutes of use.makes it so the chair is difficult to move around because it wants to rest in the low spots.

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing indentations on your chair mat, which makes it difficult to move around on your office chair. PVC is a softer and flexible material that has been tested to withstand weights up to 180 pounds (including both the weight of the user and office chair). Please ensure that an office chair mat with plastic wheel casters and no other furniture (i.e. desks, chairs with four legs.) is placed on the mat. In a case like this, we would recommend re-measuring your carpet to ensure that this mat is suitable for your carpet. You can measure your carpet thickness using a paperclip and pushing the paperclip through the carpet and padding until it hits the subfloor, then measure the distance on the paperclip from the subfloor to the top of the carpet pile. Purchased to solve a difficult problem. It served its purpose excellently. It permits a person losing strength to pull a chair up to a dining table, without the resistance of the carpet. the plastic sheet permits smooth sliding of the chair legs.

Not what I was expecting
Unfortunately I don't see this thing lasting more than 6 months. My impressions after a week of use are that it is way too thin, already has divots where my chair wheels sit so the chair doesn't roll freely, and does not stay in place, I've had to reposition it at least once per day. It is made of a thin (0.1" thick) rubbery material that is not rigid enough. My last one, that I paid less for, lasted over 5 years, was over twice as thick (0.25"), larger, stayed in place, and was made of a more rigid plexiglass type material. I'm only keeping it because I don't have time to return it and get another. I would not recommend this item.

NO MENTION ON THICKNESS---NOW I KNOW---IT'S TOOOOO THIN---I WILL USE IT ELSE WHERE---THESE TYPE MATS SHOULD HAVE A MIN-1/4 INCH THICKNESS TO LAST A WHILE BEFORE CRACKING FROM CHAIR PRESSURE.
