I bought 3 in Jan 2026 for the dry cold winter months. They are used in 3 different rooms. Has def prevented the itching & dry skin that we usually get. BUT the coating on the element has started peeling off on each unit. I use the humidifiers approximately 8-10 hours a day, then I turn them off at bedtime. Empty the basins out. Wouldn't you think the protective coating on the element would last more than 3 months??

Honeywell HWM845 Warm Mist Humidifier.
The best humidifier I've ever purchased. Nice, lightweight and super easy to use. Works so well I only run it at night and on the lower setting for a downstairs room thats 16' x 20'. I only have to refill with water every other day. The house is dry when winter heat is on - and this little humidifier is doing a terriffic job, SO mush so, I purchased another one for upstairs bedroom. I can't comment on the essential oil cup because we don't use it, but will say I'm super happy with this Honeywell mist humidifier.

this humidifier runs out of water pretty quickly when run on high (probably around 6 hours for a full gallon). i have not had a problem with any build up. it is easy to disassemble, pour out the old water, wipe the heating element dry with a paper towel, and refill.

Holds enough water to last you through the night or enough for more than 2 hours. Super easy to clean, can remove the side piece where water goes to clean out. Questioning a new purchase
I've used mine constantly during the winter months for 2-3 years . I've noticed the past year it can leak. I put a towel underneath or a tray. It is a constant warm mist that does improve humidity. This past week....the knob is difficult to turn on and the green light no longer works. It does require once a week cleaning of the water tank with Clorox and the tray with white vinegar to remove dirt. Seeing these reviews makes me wonder if the newer models are cheaply made.

Burn risk
The unit gets really hot. The mist is like the steam from a pot of boiling water. You will burn your hand if you touch the plastic where the steam comes out or the steam itself. Not safe for around children. If it tipped over it would cause serious burns.

Leaks water, poor design
There is a lot of condensation buildup underneath the tray which leaks through the holes in the bottom and onto whatever surface it is sitting on. Have to wipe it up and dry it off daily. A very poor design. I will be going with a cool mist humidifier instead.

Worked two times. Had less than a week. I did smell a plastic odor when it did work but figured it would go away with time. Scale was more than any unit I have ever owned and certainly wouldn’t expect that much after two uses.
