Q: My humidifier refill light comes on when the tank is still full. Is the water supposed to fill automatically from the the tank to the reservoir once the reservoir has emptied?

  • A: Every once in a while when I fill the tank without removing it, it doesn't open up to the reservoir. But if you pick it up a little (like you're about to take the tank out) and then put it back in place, it usually opens then.

I’ve had this humidifier for at least four years. I’m having to replace it because k dropped the tank and it broke. And I decided to buy another of this model because I love it so much. This thing is a beast. It works well in super dry Colorado. I’ve never had any issues with leaking. The only drawback is the filters are very expensive and I have hard water so I have to replace them a lot, but I usually buy third party ones and most of them work well.

Worked great for 3 weeks! Then it would run 24/7 and never change the humidity level. Wasn’t a filter issue, so I had to return it. I was so happy at first only to be disappointed.

Leaks like crazy. Worked ok for a few months and then started leaking and soaked the carpet. We never could figure out why it was leaking. Ended up just tossing it. Not worth it at all.

PLJ12 - 9 months ago
It is a nice looking unit and does not take as much space as other evaprotive type but its output is very poor. I ran it for 10 hours and it only output about 1/2 gallon. It is quite but the medium and high setting do not seem to be that much different. The unit simple cannot move enough air required to increase the humidity very much. I did test the wattage usage and it is low. It might be right for you if you want to put it in a small bedroom and do not want to use the utrasonic type which can release mineral/bacteria into the air. The low setting is quite enough for a bedroom.

Ok humidifier - 9 months ago, Verified purchaser
There's a lot of things I love about this humidifier, BUT we have a humidity gauge and this unit is always away off! Our gauge will say 37% and this unit states 51%. If we set a humidity level it seems to never run because it's already reading high. Tried raising it off the floor a bit, but it didn't make a difference. We set it around 60% to get it to 40% humidity in here.

Perfect humidifier for sinus sufferers!

Jolene - 10 months ago
I have chronic sinusitis and this humidifier works great and helps alleviate most of my sinus issues! I love that it has a humidistat. I read other reviews that mentioned it leaks from the bottom. I have NOT had that issue. You need to make sure you install the float paddle correctly! It even says that in the instruction manual that if the float paddle isn’t correctly installed it will leak from the bottom! So easy! I also love how compact it is. This is a great humidifier!

Poor filter life

Works great for large spaces but the filter maybe lasts 6 weeks and when the filter goes it doesn’t work as well (filter I can get to 60% humidity without or with used filter only about 40%). Filters aren’t cheap so I would expect them to last longer!

We have four of these throughout our home, we live on three floors, and we absolutely love them. I had returned several ultrasonic humidifiers that were an absolute nightmare, besides leaking they left the notorious white dust all over the house. We've had these for over two years and not a single leaks. Ours run continuously, we simply add a bacteriostat and refill. I love the ease of use and the filters last a long time too, even with all the hard water in AZ. We soak out filters in vinegar every 4 weeks to remove the hard water deposits. Works like a charm to renew and refresh the filters! Very well-made product by Honeywell. A few review complain of leaks. If you follow the instructions this unit will not leak. In 2 years we haven't had a single leak from our units.

Horrible product that clearly needs a redesign. We bought 4 of these this year and within 2 months all 4 of them have quit working. Initially they seem great but there must be an internal component that keeps breaking. Very unfortunate and 100% do not recommend unless you feel like making a return.
