16" 2-In-1 Led Floor Lamp Silver (Includes LED Light Bulb) - OttLite

I have had several Ottlite floor lamps with magnifiers, but wanted a new one in case the lights started to burn out. My husband was looking for a Christmas gift so I suggested this lamp. On Christmas Day we assembled it and when I sat in my chair with the light at my side, the glass was about a foot over my head. I could not see through it. I had no choice but to return the lamp.

My boss bought the floor lamp with excitement since it had a magnifying lense as well LED light for one of our patient's room. It did not last not even two weeks when the hand held part started to come apart from the base. It could not handle to constant movement. I must say it was a great product until it came apart. We had to trashed it.

I had been using this floor lamp/magnifier for needlepointing. I began to notice that my eyes tired, my vision blurred, and my sleep patterns were off kilter. Some research indicated it is the brightness of the LED bulbs in this lamp. When I quizzed my ophthalmologist about this, she said it is the brightness and the blue light issue common to ultra-bright LEDs, and she said that even blue light filter glasses won't adequately address the problem. I no longer use the magnification unless absolutely necessary, and instead have the lamp over my shoulder, and pointed so that it does not shine directly on my work. It would be great if these lamps came with warm white bulbs instead. Were it not for this issue, which is threatening the health of my aging eyes, I would heartily recommend the lamp. As it stands, caveat emptor.

I’ve bought 3 of these lamps over a period of a number of years because they all start break down. They are fantastic for crossstitching. My last purchase was Perhaps 2 years ago. There is a plastic housing that holds the light positioned and another at the base to adjust the positioning of the lamp (reaching out or back). Metal screws in plastic housing wear out the plastic which cause the lamp to not stay in place. Also the housing at the base has worn out. Will not stay in place any longer. Perhaps a metal housing with metal screws would solve the problem.

Easy to maneuver the lighted magnifier into place. Puts the light on my project while not shining in my eyes.

I bought a battery operated magnifying floor lamp 2 years ago and enjoyed using it. My daughter has it now and it appears that model is no longer available so I bought the floor/table model for myself. I am disappointed that it lacks the flexibility of the first lamp. I cannot get the magnifier over my cross stitch to comfortably work. It does not matter which chair I sit in; the magnifier is too high and won’t bend to position over my work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very useful magnifier lamp light. It has a flexible head, so you can adjust for your needs. The magnifier and led lights make it easy to read or work on something using both hands. It has a nice heavy base you can place it wherever you need it. Can be used as a floor size or change it into the table size.

I purchased the OTTLite 2 in 1 LED magnifier for use on my reloading and gunsmith bench. I needed something that would allow me to see small parts, put extra light right where its need. The light is perfect in several aspects. The first is it is both a table and a floor lamp. The built in ring light provides good lighting for the viewing area and it its flex head allow you to put it into almost any position you need. Overall I think its a great product. I would give it five stars but there are two things I think that could use improvement. The first is the quality of the glass. Its good, but its not great. The second is the bifocal style magnifier within the magnifier. It's not very sharp and its difficult to get it into focus as the depth of field is very shallow. With a premium piece if glass I would give it a 5! For now lets settle on 4.5.

I love this light. I can watch TV and sew at the same time. It's really great! The only thing I am not excited about is the base. The lamp is not sturdy in the base, it wiggles alot. Once you get everything adjusted it does a great job. The light is wonderful!

I like this lamp, I had one several years ago, got broken in a move. I now am replacing it. I use it for my craft work. I'm only giving it a 3 star not because of the light but the instructions are not very useful to me. still trying to figure out how it goes together, parts are not identified, picture blurry not helpful at all. I'm not very good at assembling things need better, clearer instructions.

I like this lamp, because it can easily be a floor lamp or a table lamp. It also help me, see small details, better.

All I can say is if you need a good lamp and magnifier...this is the lamp!! I finally found what I needed all along. Now I can see my brush strokes and color saturation with ease. Thank you OttLite for making another great product!!

I LOVE this lamp! I have used several magnification lamps in the past and none compare to this one! This is by far the best. I am a crocheter and I often have a hard time seeing those teeny tiny details, not anymore though! Best purchase i've made in a long time. Best part is the fact that it can transition easily from a floor lamp to a table or vice versa!

I have had my lamp for over two years and use it almost every day at my crafting table. I use it as a floor lamp and when I need magnification, I swivel it over closer to my work area. It works great. HOWEVER, yesterday the gray, cylindrical, plastic connector between the base and top of the lamp snapped in half. This is a very poor design flaw. It appears that the plastic is not sturdy enough to hold the weight of the lamp itself. I am now unable to use my Model # SL-7023 OttLite floor lamp. I have contacted OttLite asking about a replacement part and hope my lamp can be repaired. I give this lamp a high rating because it is a good lamp......when it isn't broken.

My mom kept complaining the she couldn't see to work at her kitchen table. She chose to keep the lamp as a floor lamp and used it the very day I put it together for her. This may stave off a kitchen lighting remodel.

Awesome light, I can see every detail in my cross-stitch fabric while I sit in the same room with my hubby.

I love this lighted magnifier. It converts from a floor lamp to a table lamp pretty easily and I use it in my home workshop for a variety of projects. The large magnifier makes it easy to see whatever I put under it, and it is really bright with all the LEDs. Great product!
