Disappointed
Nothing about these knives are Henckle quality. They have plastic handles so light in weight. My bad for not reading the fine print but I hate the serrated edges. Disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cutco used to be my go to brand, not any more! Henkel's is much more attractive (I use a magnetic knife holder so my knives are front and center in my kitchen. They are great for anything you use them are and I love the safety tip that comes with them. No accidental cuts!

Some discoloration after only a few months. They have been ok but I personally don't prefer serrated knives. Now I know.

Not like other Henckles Knives
The serrated edges do not cut well. They get stuck in anything you are trying to cut. Worst knives ever. No wonder they are always on sale.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly, my wife just kept buying another brand that had color-coded knives, and on both sets the paint chipped off and that made uncomfortable. I bought these because I make my own jerky and I don't have a deli slicer. Normally, I have to almost completely freeze my meat in order to handcut slices thin enough. With this knife set, the chef's knife allows me to cut thinner slices on thawed meat than my old ones did on frozen meat. Worth every penny just for the chef's knife alone.

Good starter set
I needed a set of knives for our getaway house. The Henckels name has always meant quality to me. This set is great. The three knives handle all my tasks and the blades never need sharpening. The handles are very comfortable to use. Great buy for the price.

This is an excellent set of the much needed basics in a kitchen. The 8-inch chef is the backbone, handling meat and vegetables with ease. The 5-inch serrated utility slices fruits and breads, and the paring peels and cores. Silvercap knives are micro-serrated. They will stay sharp for years to come. No extra maintenance necessary. Just use, wash, dry and repeat. These knives are stamped from high quality German steel; a stainless steel that won’t stain, and doesn’t require extra work. The full tang construction, meaning that there is a single piece of steel from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle, is stable and durable. This set with the shears and attractive black wood block is an exceptional value.

Great set
I love that these knives will stay sharp with almost no maintenance and I can just pop them into the dishwasher! This set has every knife I need and I love the metal end that curves down so I have a good grip when I'm cutting.

decent set of knives for a beginner or if lots of different people will use them. We have a small kitchen at our office and I used to bring a good knife once in a while but it was a hassle to transport. I needed something that anyone could use, didn't need much care or sharpening and did what it needed to do. These pieces were great sizes and the price was perfect. Covered all the needs.

Microserrated Edges
This starter set is good for new cooks who aren't as skilled with fine edge knives but still want a good quality set. Microserration means these will never need to be sharpened yet they will be able to cut through fruits, vegetables and meats with ease. Nice comfortable handle with attractive silver cap end.
