Because of the wide and heavy blade it's also suitable for light cleaving jobs.

Really pleased

Got this as an affordable upgrade from a block-set, non-full-tang chefs knife that was lighter in weight. Out of the box the knife was appropriately sharp, but the ergonomic grip, balance between handle and blade, and overall weight of the knife feels excellent. It's now a daily driver for me that I use for just about everything.
