A: Great question! The scratch board is 2 sided but it is glued into the tray, therefore, not reversible. Hope this helps!
submitted byMichelle - 4 years agoTarget staff supportA: NO! It's ridiculous that it is glued down. WHY would they do that? I bought two of them becuase they were an attractive color. Neither of them could be removed without destroying the tray.

Great size and value for price. Wanted to add a cardboard scratcher to our cat tree since the one that came with the tree was done for. Our 15 year old cat went to investigate immediately and got cozy. I’m sure it will be a new nap spot! Also I like the neutral pattern on this one. It comes with a .05 bag of cat nip which isn’t a a lot but definitely appreciated! Enough to sprinkle and make our little guy happy until I get a bag of catnip.

Zander is happy!
My Zander loves this scratcher more than any we have ever tried. He is 12 lbs and 4 ft long stretched out and it is big enough for him. He even naps on it sometimes, especially in the summer because it keeps him cool. This keeps him from scratching my rugs and furniture. I do have to put one wherever he is scratching something so I have them in a lot of different places! But he will always use this scratcher instead of the furniture as long as it is nearby. These are a little pricey for how long they last (about 3 months for us- don’t forget to tear off the paper and flip it over!😉)

These are my cats favorite so I have to get them but they seem more flimsy and less put together each time I replace them. I had to add strapping tape on all 4 corners to make them stay closed together before I gave them to her.

My cat loves to tear this scratcher up! The bottom is slick, so it does move around on hard surfaces and carpet whenever my cat dives onto it. How long this lasts will vary depending on number of cats and activity, but mine lasts about 2-3 months (one cat with at home nail trims). Not reversible and smells like chemicals
My mistake for not reading the reviews. This cat scratcher isn’t reversible, when most are because that gives double the scratching surface. Even worse, it smells like chemicals, likely from the glue used to make it single sided. My cat wouldn’t use it until I put some cat nip on it, and he usually is all over a new scratcher. Even with nip, he only lightly scratched it. I bought two and only opened one. What a waste. I won’t be buying this again.

I gave two stars because it is an attractive and subtle color in my living room. Other than that i would have given ZERO stars because the pad is not reversible.--it's glued down! WHY??? I've never heard of that before. I bought two of them, and I tried prying the pad out of both, but it was impossible to do without destroying the cardboard tray. I wish they would fix this.
