Description

In The Game of Life: Super Mario Edition board game, players choose to play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Yoshi, journeying through the Mushroom Kingdom, and finally spinning to win in a battle against Bowser! They move around the looping paths of the gameboard as they collect coins, power up with items and Companions, and play fun minigames along the way such as Rock Paper Scissors, Thumb Wars, and Spin-Offs. As they approach Bowser's Castle, players will also buy stars to boost their battle-spin; each star collected adds 1 point to their spin total, and players will need to spin higher than a 12 to defeat Bowser and win the game. This fun game for kids and families is for 2-4 players, ages 8 and up.

Fun family game

We’ve played this a few times as a family with kids ages 5.5 and 10. Cons - it’s only 4 players and can be a little confusing for those younger players. You collect starts from different worlds instead of family pegs like in the original game and they are tiny. They do not give you any extra star pegs and are easy to lose.

Not fun

This game was not fun at all. It was difficult to figure out and not fun for the age group that it was intended for.

Nonsensical

Game makes absolutely no sense. The original game of life is so much fun and I thought it would be the same but a Mario twist. Not at all.

Tedious. Not terrible, but not much fun.

This game is not as quick as the regular Life game. It felt more like punishment than fun; redundant, bad pacing so it took FOREVER for any players to get to the end. We’re a board game family, and we kind of regret buying it.

Great board game

Such an adorable game and for for kids and the whole family. We also really enjoyed playing this on our game night! Can get difficult for our 4 year old but no problem to change things up for her or put her on a team. Nice twist to the regular Life

Demaged

It arrived damaged, as if it were used. The box was in poor condition, patched up, and of terrible quality.

Fun!

We are a Super Mario fanatic family and we love this game! It’s similar to playing the Mario Jamboree switch game where you get “buddies” and items to help you. Way better than the original Life game.

Decent Game for Older Kids

This is a fairly fun game for families. It is honestly nothing like the game of Life. It is a little complicated for younger kiddos and my 6 year old struggled to remember everything. There are lots of rules and side games, so you have to keep the instructions out. It was fun once we got going. Overall a cute game, but not the best.

Mario party come to life!

Mario party come to life! Very fun board game, doesn’t take too long to finish compared to the classic game of life, which makes it perfect for children, the characters are so cute and well made. Super fun game and perfect addition for game nights

Mario Party: The Board Game (kind of)

If they made Mario Party into a board game, this would be it. It’s definitely a bit fast-paced in comparison to The Game of Life, but I honestly prefer it that way. Part of me wishes that they had made the mini-games a little more robust (which was about the only problem I had), but you can only do so much for that. I also had problems with the wheel not staying on, so it would come flying off whenever someone went to take their turn. Overall, I enjoyed this game quite a bit, and Mario fans would probably like this too. :)

Mario Party turned into a Board Game!

Fun and easy to play! If you are familiar with the video game Mario Party, this is basically the video game in a board game. It’s nothing like regular LIFE, but it is fun and fast paced. We particularly enjoy the mini games. I highly recommend! I would say it’s best ages 5 and up, as the cards have a lot of reading.
