Q: If this baking soda is formulated for cleaning and deordorizing, then why does it say "Baking" on the front as being one of the uses? Why shouldn't a person use this as an antacid?

  • A: The granulation of this is different and will affect both how it dissolves and more than likely how it would be dosed as an antacid. This isn’t a problem with cooking.

    Smells like scented detergent!

    It is supposed to be unscented but it has a very strong perfume odor. No odor until I poured it, which means that the soda itself, not the container, was contaminated.

Sometimes you just need a thin layer- and that's where the shaker comes in. I can dispense it in a thin layer way easier this way. I can shake it into my washing machine, on stains, to scrub my oven, yo name it. It just makes it so convenient.

    LOVE THIS PRODUCT

I use a half of cup in my washing machine per load to soften our very hard water and make the detg work at its best. It also keeps the machine clean and fresh smalling. I also use half of a cup in the dishwasher it softens the water makes the cleaning more efficient (I have a newer dishwasher). It keeps the innerworkings free of gunk. I use in the cat litter garb can where I store the dirty litter until I take to the garb can outside, It keeps it fresher. I like the scented just for me to enjoy but regular works the same. It's a nice non abrasive cleaner for stainless steel and works well cleaning frying pans as an additional product. I order the huge bag for the laundry around 13lbs so I have it there all of the time.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Removed wood stain odor from my kiddos bedroom We stained and sealed some boards for shelves for my son’s room. It was winter time so we put them in the garage to dry for numerous days. We then put in his room - and the smell was awful! He couldn’t sleep in his room bc of the fumes. So I read about using baking soda to get rid of the smell. I put two cookie sheets worth of baking soda on the actual shelf and it absorbed the odor! I also put laundry scent beads for some fresh smell and that worked as well!
