Great mix
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this raised bed mix! It’s super easy to use and my plants are loving it! I used it to refresh my beds and then planted some onion sets in it. So far, they are loving it and doing very well. The bag is a good size and I’m definitely looking to switch to this brand as I’m loving the results so far.

Early to say, but I like it so far
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the blend of this potting soil, it’s really loose and was easy to mix in with my other soil when prepping my raised beds for the year. It’s too early to know if the plants like it or not but we’ll see in a few months!

Great Organic Raises Bed Mix to the Roots.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to InFluenster and Back to the Roots for the complimentary bag of Organic Raised Bed Mix. This organic soil mix is made in the USA and comes in a 1 cubic foot bag ( 25.7 qt ) It’s blended with plant food, Yucca extract and Gypsum and it does not contain peat. It’s suitable for Herbs, Vegetables and Fruits plants. I use it to replace the soil in a wooden planter where the soil had deteriorated. The mix holds moisture well still providing good drainage, and it has no unpleasant odors. This is lightweight soil that is easy to use and drain well. After some time, I noticed healthier plants growth. Great for Herbs, Vegetables and Fruits plants.

Great quality organic soil for healthy plants
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently used back to the roots organic premium blend raised pet mix for my raised garden bed and and my experience is really positive. The soil has a light, fluffy texture that makes it easy to spread and plant in. It also holds moisture well, which helps plans to stay hydrated without constant watering. One thing I like about this mix is, it's hundred% organic and peat-free, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to some traditional soils. The blend includes ingredients like Yuka extract for moisture control and minerals like balanced pH which helps support healthy plant growth. After planting vegetables and herbs in the raised bed, the plants started growing well and the soil stayed loose and aerated.

Fungus gnat breeding ground
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bag of potting mix was delivered to me in November when it had already reached freezing temps outdoors. Since it was too cold for me to do any outdoor container gardening, I stored this in my laundry room to wait for the spring. My home was suddenly overrun with fungus gnats despite not having gotten any new houseplants and no matter how many sticky traps and Zevo catchers I placed, the infestation only increased over the last few months. Today it was finally warm enough to take this potting mix outside and when I opened it up, it was swarming with fungus gnats. Absolutely disgusting. Not only that, the mix itself was stuck together in huge hard clumps that I had a hard time breaking up. Save your money and buy a different product. It'll save your sanity.

It's potting soil
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't really know what to say, it's potting soil. It's a seed starting mix so it's mostly peat moss and likely devoid of a lot of nutrients (which is fine for what it is). It's February and I'm in Chicago so not a great time to be starting seeds, I'm sure they'll grow well with this though. Again, it's just potting soil, lol.

Exactly what it says!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Back to the Roots “Better” Raised Bed mix is perfect. We’ve repotted a couple succulents and some herbs for our kitchen. We found it retains water well, no annoying little flying bugs and it looks nice. It’s a rich, deep soil packed with nutrients to help your plants grow! We’ve used a few different types of soil from this brand and we are huge fans!

A excellent soil blend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to thank Back to the Roots and Influenster for sending me a one cubic foot bag of Back to the Roots’ Organic Raised Bed Blend. I have been a big fan of Back to th Roots for its mushroom kits but never knew that it offered premium blend soil. I have used all sorts of organic soil mixes from very high end to just the basic, and I rate this one fairly close to the top. I am impressed that there are added nutrients that save me time, effort and thinking. The label showed a good amount or nitrogen, which helps leafy greens grow. This is important to me as I grow my own vegetables. Whether it is to grow leaves to eat or to support its fruit like tomatoes leaves, I always strive for healthier green leaves for a healtheir plant. Then I see that there are calcium from gypsum for disease resistance and overall growth and limestone for pH balance. I was also interested to see how the moisture control from th Yucca Extract works. I was very pleased when I opened th bag to see the growth of mycelium, which is very beneficial to strengthen vegetable roots. I also noticed a consistently more refined soil blend, unlike some organic soil I have purchased in the past that incorporated unfinished chopped branches and sticks. The soil smelled so good, too. What surprised me the most was the result of the wetting agent. I have never seen water penetrate so well. With ordinary organic soil, the water pooled or ran off when I first used it and was an inconvenience that did not benefit the transfer of my seedlings, especially in sunny Los Angeles. The cost of this product for its benefits is fairly reasonable, making it a good value. I like the one cubic foot size. Although it costs more than ordinary organic soil in a three-cubic-foot bag, the convenience of not having to add other products is a huge plus. I will switch to using this product.

Good Quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spring is nearly here...the best season of all! I've been busy prepping my container and raised bed gardens for flowers and herbs! I'd never used this particular potting soil before and was excited to give it a try! It's relatively light which is super nice. The first thing I noticed is how it tends to retain water! I don't feel like I have to be watering my plants daily. It's packed with nutrients too so my plants should be full and thriving all growing season! This bag is for one square foot which isn't a lot but you can always blend a bit of other soil in with it to make it stretch further if you do so choose. I've done that with other potting soil yearly and plants still look beautiful and lush!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This garden bed soil seems great! It is more than just a bag of dirt. It has minerals in it to help our vegetables grow. This bag was a great weight value for the money. It compacted well and was easy to spread. You can also smell that this is not just plain dirt.
