So happy with my Mini Smart Oven
I upgraded to Breville from an older, other model brand mini oven. I love how I don't have to watch over my bagel or toast thanks to the digital timer function. Looks great on my counter as well.

Terrible Toast
I have had this thing for years, and am not sure why it has taken me this long to review and replace (just ordered a new toaster, phew). It starts to toast by turning on both elements, top and bottom, as you would expect. Then they turn off, and remain off for up to a full minute, during which time, the toast is not browning, but the insides are losing all semblance of being bread. Then they cycle on and off. I like a deeply browned piece of toast. By the time the bread is toasted brown it has been sitting inside a hot oven with no toasting, ie, when the elements cycle off, for so long that the inside is now as hard as a rock, dried to the consistency of a baseball bat. Be careful of your teeth! I am generally a fan of many Breville products, but not this one! (Their espresso machines, for instance, are fabulous.)

Not worth it
This is a sad mockery of the older/larger models. It works but it’s just not nice… and it doesn’t pull the grate out so you can get your toast without burning yourself!! Madness. Returning

Gets way too hot!
I go this on sale and have had this brand in the past. This little toaster o en is the perfect size for my kitchen, but it gets too hot just making toast. I don’t trust that it isn’t a fire hazard and will be returning.

Returning because it came damaged. tray doesn't align with the oven so door can't be opened so disappointed. I really like this oven. Hopefully the replacement won't have issues.

Great oven with one flaw
Replaced the Breville mini we’ve used for years. The new one has the same great features, but I’m concerned about a loud mechanical pop when heating, or cooling. Doesn’t seem to be an electrical issue. Apparently ours has an anointing defect.

None of the features worked
Did not toast evenly None of the functions worked. Oven came with 45 page manual. Supposed to have a toast function with options of number of slices and desired darkness but display only showed oven temperature setting. When oven was turned on, upper and lower heating elements would turn on no matter what feature was shown. Could not get assistance from company calling the phone number in product manual. Boxed up the oven, returned it and bought another brand.

Fire hazard
So thankful this did not turn into a fire. Seems like the rear bumpers allow the oven to be placed too close to the plug. The plug melted then got stuck to the oven. Could have been bad if we didn’t find it. Definitely returning!

Fire Hazart
The outside top, sides, back, front gets extremely hot, you can make an fried egg on top. This is unsafe. I only had it on for 3 min to make a toast, it toasts well but not worth the fire hazart. Return.
