Donna's Recipe Sweet Potato Pie Moisturizing Shampoo - 8 fl oz

Purchased and used this shampoo with the conditioner for the first time today. My hair is less frizzy, tangled/knotted. It has some slip to it, my hair feels moisturized and my waves/curls appear to be neat and more uniform as opposed to looking like my hair is stressed out and poofy. I hope to continue to use these hair products. I only hope that my hair continues to look as good as it did after today. The scent isn’t overwhelmingly strong. When I showered it was pleasant (I tend to have a sensitive nose) while my hair was wet post shower it seemed as though I lost the scent, but once dry the scent came through ever so lightly and it’s enjoyable and feels like a treat that’s only for me to enjoy. Try it out for yourself. The negative reviews made me put it back a few times before I decided to walk back and grab it off the shelf to take the plunge and try it for myself. We all have different hair needs after all. #WOULD LIKE A BIGGER BOTTLE AT A REASONABLE PRICE. The price for this shampoo and conditioner is a bit pricey for the amount of fluid oz you’re getting. Would love to continue using this without worrying about the price point.

Donna’s Recipe is the real deal. It smells amazing, but not overwhelming. It leaves my boys’ typically dry hair so clean and FULL of moisture. Paired with the leave in conditioner, I have never seen my 3 year old’s hair hold this much moisture. Detangling was a BREEZE, it took less than half the usual amount of time. When I tell you it’s worth every penny, I mean it.

Natural hair cuties please listen to me! I love Auntie Tab, but I will not be using these products anymore until she has better ingredients for natural hair. Her products contain oat milk which has protein in it and therefore it is not good for “our” hair. Protein will cause hair breakage and damage to our natural hair texture. This is solely the only reason I will no longer buy this product. Again, I love Tab and love what she’s doing, but she needs to be more knowledgeable about natural hair ingredients for “us”. Love and light ✨

Lovely smell and cool to the scalp

I wish I had a better experoence but I'm glad to see some others did not have good results. Thought I was just tripping. I'm seeing ppl's hair being dry...mines was not but it surely was melting out my head. I didn't even feel it coming from the scalp. Kind of like how nair softens the hair and you rub it off, yea, that's what I had going on. Freaking me out! I didn't pull my hair hard at all. Just running my fingers through as I washed and many strands, more than the norm, kept appearing. Tried it twice hoping for a different result, nope. I don't have much hair already. Can't afford to lose any. Conditioner did the same thing. The oil, hair cream and leave in conditioner are fine. So disappointed that the shampoo/conditioner didn't work for me. Never experienced something like this from a sham/cond.

I was really excited to try this line but I was Sorely disappointed. The shampoo didnt lather very well and at first I thought it was because my hair was very dirty but by the 3rd wash, it only got slightly better. Before I started washing my hair I ran my fingers through to get out any remaining tangles. However after shampooing, when I tried to do the same thing, my fingers got stuck in multiple places. This has never happened to me before and this left my hair so dried out that the hair was tightly stuck together. I hoped the conditioner would help but it only made it worse. The only reason I was able to get my hair cleared out was by adding my Carol's daughter conditioner to my hair. Even then it required way more patience than it usually would and took me an hr and half. My previous shampoo would leave my hair feeling smooth and silky after rinsing, this just felt dry and stringy almost.

I wanted to love it, but it made my hair feel dry and brittle, and I have 3c/4a hair. I thought maybe after the conditioner it would soften up, but sadly not. Also, it is a bit pricey for the amount of product you get. It does smell good though.
