Q: Why would you want the bowl-lift feature vs a tilt head?

submitted by Cassie - 1 year ago
  • A: You can use this in more versatile places, such as under an overhang or cabinet without having to move it to lift the bowl.

submitted byMrs Meow - 4 months ago
  • A: Hi Cassie, The bowl-lift models offer a higher wattage for mixing larger quantities.

submitted byKitchenAidTeam - 1 year ago

  • A: Bread/pizza dough. Lift stand models have no "flex" in the hinge when kneading with the dough hook. Minor trade-off is having to remove the beater/hook before removing the bowl, vs tipping it up.

submitted byTL - 5 months ago

Q: I just purchased one and the bowl sits tilted down (not level) and the attachments scrape the side of the bowl some, is that normal?

submitted by aly - 4 months ago
  • A: Mine is the same way

submitted by Baker - 5 months ago
  • A: Yes it works very well! It will be the best mixer you have ever owned. Trust me, you won't regret snagging one of these!

submitted byLynn - 5 months ago
  • A: Hi Baker, This model offers the capability of mixing smaller batches.

Q: Item states ‘dishwasher safe parts’, but someone asked about the whisk and you stated it should not be used in the dishwasher. Can you please verify if it can or cannot be used in the dishwasher? Thank you.

submitted by SP - 6 days ago
  • A: Hi SP, The included wire whip should be hand washed and thoroughly dried.

Q: I would like to know how many pounds of wheat is the maximum capacity to make breads. It says that the motor is 500w, is it common to heat the engine when making bread and turning off the equipment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer for Christmas and I have used at at least once every week since! I cannot believe how versatile it is. Makes baking a breeze now, especially breads and pastries. I look forward to every weekend just so I can experiment with recipes. I have also been able to recreate several baked goods my husbands mother and grandmother made for him as a kid! Wish I had got one sooner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is a work horse plus it is beautiful. I was in the market for a heavy duty mixer and had my eye on a Swiss made one. Every video of that Swiss one talked about a learning curve. Kitchen aid has no learning curve and does amazing work right out of the box.

This mixer is fabulous it does a great job and is large enough to handle three to four loaves of bread dough. I have the smaller Kitchenaid mixer which is also great but was a little small for some things. Love KitchenAid products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this specific model for the stronger motor so I can grind my own flours. This one, with a 500 watt motor, does the job! I have a thirty year old tilt-head mixer that still runs like new but it only has a 300 watt motor (unlike the newer tilts that have 325 watts).
